Armoured Tyrants

Description
Updated for 6.1

DESCRIPTION
Tyrants are the rulers of the ogre tribes, keeping allies and enemies in line alike. So, they are insanely strong and experienced individuals. Unfortunately, the vanilla tyrants rather look like fat part-time bullies. I tried to give them a way more archaic and battle-hardened look with this visual overhaul/reskin.

FEATURES
  • new looks for all tyrant variants
  • trophy standards
  • new armour parts which now also display the according faction colour
  • new unit cards/portholes

COMPATIBILITY
This mod is save game compatible. There are no stat changes to avoid any issues with bigger balancing mods. There should be no compatibility issues, unless you use another mod that alters the appearance of the ogre tyrants.

CREDITS
  • Chronicler of the Blessed Land for some of the stunning screenshots and his ReShade preset!
  • r1kko for giving the final touch to the unit cards!
  • h3ro for his Asset Editor tool.

OTHER MODS
You like my work? Feel free to check out my other mods.

I started modding because I wanted to implement my own ideas. But modding for Total War Warhammer is not very user-friendly and takes a lot of time. So, if you should decide that you enjoy one of my mods so much that you want to give something back I am always happy about a donation!

@Fröb: Honestly, I'm not entirely sure about that. If that's the situation, the best idea might be to split the mod, so the other version would then require the Variant Selector. I do realize, however, that this would probably be a lot more hassle. Thanks anyway for your answer and for all the work you do.

@Belial: If I am not mistaken, the base game can only handle 5 variants per unit. So, if I would separate them into their own distinct variants, they would only be displayed if the variant selector is used.

@Fröb: Sorry, I probably didn’t explain myself clearly. I meant whether it would be possible to make your variants additional to the vanilla ones, so they remain compatible with other mods that, as you mention in the description, “alter the appearance of Ogre Tyrants.”
Now that the mod is finished, would it be difficult to separate them into their own distinct variants?

@Belial: That's a very good idea. But since my variants overwrite the vanilla ones, the variant selector should already work for them - doesn't it?

Hey man, awesome mod! I wanted to ask if it would be possible to make the mod use the variant system (and the variant selector) so it can be compatible with other mods that add or modify Tyrant variants.
Thanks!

@Pistol Crepsi: There were no changes necessary and the mod should be displayed as up to date in the launcher.

Update?

@HungKB: I am not allowed to share the preset by Chronicler of the Blessed Land. Though, that preset can't be used for gameplay anyways because it is too impact heavy. But I can recommend to you marfo's 2020 Reshade [sfx.thelazy.net].

Awesome mods and stunning colors.
How can I download this preset, thank for your hard work

can you please make them as extra variants and not reskin?
