Research blueprints instead of having to find them!

This is a Quality of Life mod created to circumvent having to find all the blueprints in the world of Kenshi and purchasing them just to be able to craft that weapon or armour type.

Changes
  • Added Armour and Weapons categories to the Tech Tree for ease of access to the new Trees.

  • Choose Which Armours and Weapons you wish to Research to prevent Crafting Clogging.

  • Modified some of the prerequisite research costs since it is no longer repeated tiers.
    (This change was because of v.2 of this mod, that gave you everything upon researching multiple times, whereas now you can choose what sets you want.)

  • Faction Armours require you to research every other Smithing prerequisite (Leather, Plate, Simple, Hats) to their max, before you are able to research it.

  • Each weapon type can now be researched instead of having to buy and find them in the world.
    (You still have to reach the Tech Level and Prerequisites for some, so if they aren't there, try teching up.)

    None of the blueprints have been replaced by the research, and can still be found and bought in the world, this only adds another option to the mix.

  • The Knowledged Wanderer game start, starts you off with all weapon and armour types already unlocked, and is otherwise untouched and is played the same as the normal Wanderer game start.

Notes
This is my first time making a Kenshi mod, there may be bugs, issues, and errors that arise. If this happens please leave a comment and let me know what happened so that I can fix it right away! If you think I am missing any Clothing, or Armour pieces please also let me know and I will try to add them to the list!

@RMATheGreat Thanks! I went ahead and sent out an Update today adding the Gi. I apologize it took me so long to fix this and get back to you. I've added it with the rest of the "Clothes" research, seemed fitting.

Heya i was trying to make a GI outfit but noticed the GI top doesn't show up as an option only the GI pants. Love the mod by the way makes city living so much easier.:steamhappy:

@Lasershadow unfortunately I would have to have the mod authors permission and would need to make a separate mod for modded items. Due to modded items being implemented in such a way via the mod, it becomes a requirement to load the mod and mine. If the mod author is alright with me making a mod for it, I can find the time to do so

@Toxic waste Howdy, I was able to get on today and double check, I made no changes to my mod and I was only running Dark UI and my Mod, nothing was missing. I checked for every faction armor.

I think the issue might've been that you had not researched the armours from the Armours Tab in research, as well when you do so, not every armour piece uses the same workbench, it might use Clothing, Chain, Leather, or Heavy.

As well I had no issues seeing any of the individual weapon researches, I would suggest seeing if you have the prerequisite tech level for them and have researched the weapons crafting tiers. Most weapons share a Tech Level of 2 and some higher, tech level 3.

The mod itself shouldn't conflict with any other mods unless they add their own Research Trees by the same name of "Armour" and "Weapons" if not, there may be duplicate research trees that I ask you double check.

@Toxic waste It could've been something went amiss when I did the major update for the mod but, as I previously stated I don't have access to the mod-files anymore to make fixes and changes so sadly I can't look at figuring out what happened and fixing it.

@泱溟 This is a pretty old mod but it shouldn't be crashing the game unless they've made some major update to Kenshi that I'm not aware of. I don't have access to the mod-files for this mod anymore sadly but the only thing this mod does is add Research Trees and Research Techs, it doesn't do anything that would conflict with another mod, unless they edit the same values.
