Thanks, that makes sense. So i guess for 5% steal rate it would be about 15 battles to have a ~50% chance to steal it and around 7 battles with the 10% rate, so just have to keep at it.
I am not sure but if I look at modifiers in the game db, the steal chance seems to depend on the victory type and the campaign difficulty.
It seems to suggest that by default you "only" have 10% chance to steal an item with a pyrrhic victory up to 40% chance with a heroic victory. Regarding the difficulty, in legendary you have -10% chance to steal an item and -5% chance in very hard.
I don't know if the "magic item drop chance" stat also increases the steal chance or only the chance to get a completely random item at the end of a battle.
@Freiya, thanks for making this mod helps to combat the loss aversion for nice things! I am wondering when you say chance to steal a weapon from an enemy lord how much of a chance is it? I managed to steal one of the weapons from Goldtooth but no luck getting the soulnetter off Katarin after wounding her in 8+ battles now she just wont give it up!
