Less AI Cheating (campaign)

Description
Are you tired of the insane amount of cheating that the AI does at the campaign level in the Realm of Chaos Campaign? Would you like the Iron Man type saves from Legendary, but without all the excessive and ridiculous cheating that goes along with it? Do you think the Realm of Chaos Campaign specifically has a quite absurd difficulty level as the AI spams you with armies while you are away in the Chaos Realm with your best army? If so, then this mod is for you!

This mod reduces the amount of AI cheating at the campaign level, by lowering their AI related cheat-buffs to a more reasonable level for the highest difficulty levels, and little to no cheating at "Normal" difficulty level. At the highest difficulty level the AI buffs are not removed entirely (because the AI does need them to remain a challenge) and they still vary in magnitude based on the difficulty levels, but the goal is that they are carefully reduced enough so that its not excessive, while still keeping a careful balance so that the campaign remains very challenging at higher difficulty levels, especially in the challenging and unique Realm of Chaos Campaign.

(Also, this mod inherently negates a lot of the severe anti-player bias by making the AI's capability more comparable to your own. By having a stronger start, and by having the AI not totally outclass you with excessive bonuses that allow it to build up at an accelerated rate by comparison, which prevents it from having excess capability, then much of its APB is negated. This is because the AI uses strength-based comparisons to determine that you are too strong to mess with, since you will be building up with the AI at a comparable rate -- no more will the entire map declare war on you at the start of the campaign, but of course as the campaign progresses that might happen due to your own actions.)

This mod...
✅Is save game compatible
✅Is compatible with all future DLC
✅Works in multiplayer campaigns (as long as your friends also have it activated)
✅Should work with almost any other mod
✅Can be turned off and on whenever you want

Changes:

(Note that all the tweaks in this mod are what the mod designer subjectively feels to be "just right," based on 20+ years of Total War experience playing Legendary difficulty level.)

-This mod affects both Immortal Empires and Chaos Campaign, but uses unique adjustments for both that are tailored to the campaign through a special set of tailored AI difficulty adjustments. This was done so that each campaign is not affected in the same way, since they play differently.

-In general, the Chaos Campaign (CC) AI cheat reductions are more extensive than the Immortal Empires (IE) campaign adjustments, because CC's unique game play doesn't need all the extra AI cheating piled on top of it, given the campaign's natural difficulty with the time-based victory conditions. IE on the other hand has traditional AI cheat reductions in a way that keeps the campaign very challenging to veteran TW players (especially in mind with classic Legendary difficulty campaigns), while simply taking off the ridiculously insane levels of AI cheating.

-Reduced the AI's excessive ability to mass-recruit units, preventing them from being able to spawn a near full 20 unit army out of thin air (they must spend some turns recruiting units more slowly now, just like you do).

-The AI's excessive amount of replenishment has been reduced, to be more like yours.

-The AI's excessive research rate bonus has been cut in half (to keep it from being far faster than your own).

-The AI's excessive public order bonus has been reduced.

-The AI's excessive Khorne faction Skull Throne cost modifier and Skull Tech boost (which were both bonus boosts) have been reduced.

-The AI's excessive Tzeentch manipulation and cost multipliers (reductions) have been reduced.

-The AI's excessive resistance to occupation modifier has been reduced.

-The AI's excessive horde growth level bonus has been reduced.

-Specifically in the Realm of Chaos Campaign, the AI's upkeep has been adjusted to make their armies more manageable in size to your own.

-Reduced the AI's excessive attrition reduction (8 different types of attrition), so that they aren't so immune to attrition.

-Reduced the AI's excessive influence gain.

-Removed the AI's immunity to the "colonize cost effect" (which causes you to lose 50% of your army's strength but caused them to lose nothing when they did it).

-Adjusts the AI cheating specifically for each campaign (Realm of Chaos Campaign and Immortal Empires Campaign). It does NOT handle both campaigns in the same way, and so this mod tailors the AI to be specific to the campaign (CC has less cheating, IEC has more allowed, essentially).

NOTE: To get the full feel of the mod, you would have to start a new campaign (although you can use this in mid-campaign too, your campaign might have progressed past the point of insanity already). At first the campaign may feel easy by comparison to what it was before, but this is because the AI is now growing at a similar rate as the player. This means that with this mod you should notice that you are able to make a stronger start (since the AI cannot build up so insanely quick). This is vital because it allows you to better prepare for the real conflict that begins around turn 50+ or so, rather than being constantly behind in those turns, which is primarily what influences the AI all over the map to declare war on the player so quickly.

I updated it, no more capital letters in the tables. It was tedious, and CA says they will fix it, but I don't quite trust that a future update will not break it again so the change/fix here doesn't hurt.

Yes, I am currently waiting on CA to put out a hot fix. Most mods are broken by their update - either roll it back to the previous version temporarily or go without the mod for now. It should be soon, I think.

This mod currently blocks the client version 6.1. Please update.

OK, seems like it would work fine with that.

It's immortal empire expanded mod, don't think it's quite related just to be sure

I have no idea what iee is. Is it the Immortal Empires campaign? If so, yes.

Is it compatible with iee?

That is one of the great mysteries of the universe. I'd say probably put this mod at the top, but then if you see something you don't like or think it isn't working, then move it below.

Should we load this mod before SFO or after?
