Description
This mod adds the emus as an alternate leader to the Australian civilization. And yes this is an April Fools special lmao :P

In our timeline, the emus ruined Australian crops, and Australia's military miserably failed to stop them. In this iteration of Australia, not only do the emus win the Emu War, but they take over the entirety of Australia in the process, sacking Canberra and dismantling the Australian government, enslaving every poor unfortunate soul stuck in that land to do the bidding of the evil emu warlords. Truly a dark timeline, our timeline may have huge problems, but I'm sure as glad we don't live in THAT timeline, it's too dark. o~o

OVERVIEW
LEADER - LORD HIGH EMU
LEADER ABILITY - BATTLE OF CAMPION
Yields from pillaging and coastal raiding are +50%, and along with the usual plunder rewards, grants Culture for Farms, Plantations, and Pastures, and Science for Mines, Quarries, and Camps. Cities do not receive any war weariness. Cannot earn Influence towards Envoys. All leaders start as unfriendly towards this leader. Gain the Emu unique unit with Animal Husbandry. Training an Emu grants a second copy of that unit. May purchase Emu units with Faith.

LEADER UNIQUE UNIT - EMU
The Lord High Emu’s unique Ancient era light cavalry unit. -60 Combat Strength when attacking, embarked, or fighting on districts in home territory. +2 Combat Strength for each adjacent Emu. +1 Movement if flanked or in enemy territory. Has 70% less Combat reduction when injured.

LEADER AGENDA - GREAT EMU WAR
Likes civilizations that pillage when at war. Dislikes civilizations with cities beside its borders, especially if they have high Production or Food output, and sees them as targets for pillaging. Grievances against this leader decay at twice the usual rate.

CUSTOM ASSETS
Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to give them that, the process of asset creation turned out to be too ridiculously difficult for me to grasp, as much as I tried hard. Should anyone see this, I would gladly appreciate it if you could help create assets for this mod! Additionally, you could also teach me how to do it, that would be great as well! If I ever figure out custom assets in the future, I'm definitely updating this mod for that! For now, the Emu unit borrows its asset from the Mapuche's Malón Raider.

MODDER'S THOUGHTS
Every time I look at this mod (and especially that leader), I think to myself the following: "BOA, WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?! WHY DID YOU EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME MAKING THIS MOD?! WHY DOES THIS EXIST?!!!" XD
But then again, if you are to call me out for the ridiculousness of this mod, then I'd say this: Just the fact that the war this mod is based on actually happened, and that WE LOST THE WAR TO THE EMUS, is as ridiculous as the existence of this entire mod. Takes the quote "Truth is stranger than fiction" to a whole other level if you ask me.... xD

Welp, ever since Australia's release, ppl have been calling for some sort of emu scenario or something so... no doubt. This had to be done at some point :P

Btw if you're wondering about the Emu being OP, yes it's fully intended, it serves to make the already spicy meme flavor.... even more spicy :P (I did make sure not to accidentally turn it into an ancient GDR tho, hence why their huge CS buff applies to defense only.... just like in the actual Emu War :P)
However, if the mod being too OP causes way too much problems, feel free to let me know in the comments, I may consider nerfing it in that case.
The Emu's CS (combined with the crazy defense buff) is based on being slightly stronger than the Digger... which makes sense anyway given that the Emu War happened in late 1932. I should also note that when it comes to the emu leader's agenda, it specifically disliking cities with production and population (meaning high food output) food is also inspired by the yields of the Outback Station improvement.

Next up, I will be adding Caligula as an alt Roman leader. His bonuses will give Legions bonus combat strength and gold bonuses for attacking sea tiles (Yes, SEA TILES, not naval units). As for the ppl following me for the Naruto mods I'm making, I will be working on the Hidden Weed Village next, with the Highkage, Snoop Dogg, as its leader. (And those are all lies btw so don't believe them. Happy April Fools :P
And may all our brothers and sisters who died fighting against the oppressive evil emu population of Australia rest in peace.)

I will also never forget the fact I accidentally won a Diplomatic Victory while testing this mod for the first time.

Greetings, I have a minor (but technically major) update coming on the 28th :>

Just some minor buffs to the Emu and some minor diplomacy config stuff, but overall nothing much worth paying attention to~

Side note, I just remembered I don’t update on Sundays, and Sunday is three days from now so…. It’s actually four days from now 😅(although if you’re in the West, for you it should definitely arrive on a Sunday)

Greetings, great to see that people are still enjoying this... well what I consider to be the most ridiculous mod I've ever made 😂

Major update coming in three days! First off, I've made a bit of rework on the Emu unit, but the overall function should be the same, so nothing much changed in gameplay; swapped the data in an attempt to encourage the AI to spam them more, so they now have 80 CS, but receive -60 upon attacking, and also I removed their defense when embarked because emus using their guerilla tactics to kill their opponents' dignity is only a thing that works on land... so slight nerf.

Secondly, with the release of Ptolemaic Cleo, I've adjusted the agenda so now he'll hate those with high Food because at the time I didn't realize that was possible to code xD (also I found Naruto of all people being referenced in the agenda code which was on my part, my bad, I think it was causing errors with some of the agenda text to display)

My first thoughts are that emus are completely busted, but then I came back and saw the Modder's thoughts section. 10/10. Don't know why I expected a joke civ to be balanced though

Minor update coming tomorrow! Just some tweaks to the code, also I found some incorrect text that should have been updated long ago.... that, and I'm giving a harmless nerf to the emu leader's pillaging bonus :)

(There's a chance it may affect saved files tho due to some major code i changed so just in case you might want to prepare yourself)

One more minor update coming tomorrow! Just needed to tweak something minor in the text, I expect it shouldn't affect anyone's saves at all, and this should very likely be the last update for the mod (Unless of course something unexpected happens, which hopefully won't)
