Description
The Lalafell are a folk both rotund and diminutive. Small by any race's standards and possessed of a childlike countenance, it proves difficult for non-Lalafell to gauge an individual's age with any degree of accuracy. Originally an agricultural people inhabiting the fertile islands of the south seas, they found their way to Eorzea via the burgeoning trade routes. Lalafell are welcoming of outsiders, and share prosperous relations with all of the other races of Eorzea.

This mod adds the Plainsfolk and Dunesfolk Lalafell races from Final Fantasy XIV to RimWorld!



Mod Features

  • Introduces the Plainsfolk and Dunesfolk Lalafell from FFXIV. Despite their diminuitive size, they are just as aetherically dense as other Eorzean races and have little trouble keeping up with their larger neighbors.
  • Plainsfolk Lalafell are excellent farmers and are able to sow and harvest plants faster.
  • Dunesfolk Lalafell are excellent at animal husbandry and can train animals faster and coax more products out of them.
  • Lalafell skin color and hair colors are sampled from the FFXIV color palettes.
  • Compatible with all normal hairstyles.
  • Lalafell use the unique Popoto body type.
  • Uses backstories from A Rim Reborn - Core.
  • As an Eorzean race, has Flowing Aether. Please see A Rim Reborn - Core for more details.
  • Adds Lalafellin Tunic, Lalafellin Gaskins, Lalafellin Kaftan, and Lalafellin Bloomers apparel.

Mod Compatibility



  • This mod requires A Rim Reborn - Core to function.
  • This mod is currently not Combat Extended compatible, but support is planned for the near future.

Known Issues

  • This mod DOES NOT add any additional factions. Lalafell will currently only appear as part of the mixed-race "Eorzean Colony" faction.

Hell yeah! Now I can be my Lalafell and murder with EXTREME PREJUDICE. And also be a doctor, because I'm a white mage.

@Dizzy_Dares you can still do that, but it won't be a dedicated xenotype. If it changes the body type, has certain addons, etc it will break the rendering, and if memory serves, eye color, hair color, and skin color genes are all incompatible.

i would like to also request xenotype compatibility. with all the rim reborn stuff. i would like my WoL to be ageless, deathless and not be a bloodsucker :P

@Goldengear1111 - A Rim Reborn races currently have most xenotypes blocked since it doesn't make a great deal of sense for them to have any genetic modifications that aren't native to Eorzea. I may change this or make some settings for this in the future, but as of right now, the only xenotypes they can have are acquired ones like Sanguophage.

@Aelanna A bit more playing, I think that the thirst and hygiene needs of Lalafell babies aren't being handled at all. Even after using character editor to give them an Advanced Bionic Bladder reducing Hygiene and Thirst needs by 75%, they still suffer from extreme dehydration.
