This is a demonstration of my simulated cockpit made from cardboard on a budget mainly used to play Elite Dangerous in early 2022. This is work in progress.

In use:

* A Linux PC
* A DIY Headtracker https://beko.famkos.net/b/1fzH
* A DIY Joystick https://beko.famkos.net/b/1s71
* A X52 Pro HOTAS
* 3 Cameras + Recording Software
* An AMD RX5600XT in tears
* …and a lot of plumbing with NodeRED :D

question, if you play on Linux, I also play on Linux and wanted to know if you use the EDHM+UI mod for Elite as I can't seem to get it to work and I'm dumb lol

Der Trick sind da die Kurven richtig einzustellen. Je nach Bildschirm sind diese unterschiedlich "stramm" zu setzen.

Habs auch mal mit Headtracking versucht. Ist nur doof wenn man Kopf bewegt, aber der Monitor weiterhin statisch ist und man mit den Augen hinschielt. VR ist da cooler. Übrigens sieht man in VR auch viel mehr die Details hinter dem Piloten.
