May I add this to my modpack?

Here in Mexico, crickets are eaten as a treat. Granted not everyone likes them but with some salt and pepper, roasted crickets taste like regular chips. Never eating cockroaches, worms and such though, only crickets.

Well, if you make a stew with em, you might not taste the bug, and forget it's in there.

I actually tried to do that, but found out that it's not possible with how vanilla recipes work, unless I modify them directly, which can break compability with other mods. Thanks for the feedback though!

Cool mod thanks ! That was really missing in vanilla.
If I may add a comment, it would be even better if adding bugs to a recipe was actually adding the inherent unhappiness malus. From a gameplay perspective, it'd be cool to have to balance unhappiness from insect ingredients with spices and other regular ingredients.
Maybe consider to make that an option on the mod ? Like a "hard mode" version of it.
