Descrição
This is a chamber I originally finished in November but didn't publish until now. Use f6 to save and f7 to load.

Thank you to Mr Fab, bullfrog, Narkodes, Atom, and Nobody No-One for testing and giving early feedback.

So, my first experience playing this came about in a very odd manner: I was going through my local workshop folder, finding the recent maps I’ve played, renaming them, and putting them in the root \maps\ folder so I could access them from the dev console instead of digging through my queue with hundreds of chambers in it. In one folder (each map inside maps\workshop is assigned its own folder with a bsp file and a thumbnail png) one of the thumbnails looked like an interesting map but I couldn’t remember playing it.

So I loaded up the still-unrenamed BSP and found it to be a quite difficult, yet ultimately very satisfying, map. Had no idea who made it, but I figured it was someone well-respected. I would have recorded a blindrun but I figured there was a good chance I would never find out who made it (I had this experience with another map I discovered in my workshop folder recently) so didn’t bother.

I had also played some Quick Play chambers recently so I figured it might have been from that (and I discovered that feature downloads some chambers in advance and doesn’t delete even if you never end up playing them).

But I then discovered this was among the queue maps that had been downloaded on the 25th of November 2023, which is when I downloaded Portal 2 to my new computer.

Back in 2019 I did what I was doing today for most maps in my queue for archival purposes, but I did miss a few that I went back and did today. This one’s an oddity; I never remember downloading it or playing it at all.

Nevertheless, I’m very glad I did. Love the novel concept of the blue gel blocking you from putting the cube down anywhere but still allowing portals. And the solution, as always, was Mevious. Took me a few hours, although I grappled with distractions for most of that time - so I’d say the solution time was closer to one hour, hour and a half maybe.

Difficulty: 7.5/10
Enjoyed: 8/10

I've played all Mevious maps, and this is one of the hardest IMO. I solved 90% of it fairly quickly, but it took me a long time to figure out that last 10% lol.

This is genuinely the hardest test chamber i've ever played

This level is frustrating in how you need to do the same tasks over and over again.

The platform is confusing in it's function as a way to get up as portable surface that you can walk through.

I couldn't understand what benefit having the cube floating between the 2 portals would give me, but finally it clicked!

Wow, that was really Mevious.

You're a genious map maker, your levels are usually hard, but this is on another level. Couldn't figure it out. Hats off to the clever folks that posted videos of the solution.
