Description
*****IMPORTANT*****
Due to personal reasons and technical issues. The Colony mod will migrate to a new workshop mod page soon (I will post a link once its uploaded), with a very big update incoming, changing a lot of things, which means this version will no longer be updated. Thank you all so much for the great support and love you have shown over since the mods inception.

Known issues:
If you get any errors due to the mod or something's not looking right please contact me in the Hero's Hour discord or in the comment section of this page.
Colony's mechanics are hardcoded into the game due to being the only officially supported mod so when reporting a bug, if it's related to mechanics such as the faction skills, please head to the Hero's Hour discord instead.

Latest Patch notes:
2022-07-02 v1.2
All Colony heroes (including neutral) now have their own unique combat sprites but also stats and abilities (experimental, instantly report back to me if you find any bugs and crashes with error messages).
Added a new neutral hero and a special neutral ant unit (this unit won't be accessible via the Mimicking Centre).
Small to medium tweaks to sprites and portraits, balance and ability changes to some units, adding some of the new available abilities.

2022-10-01 v1.2A
Minor balance patch for heroes unique stats and abilities.

2023-01-15 v1.2B
All colony heroes had their sprites (both combat and portrait) redesigned complete.
2 new heroes have been added.
Saurey has been fixed and is now playable again.
Minor bugfixes and tweaks, too small and insignificant to add one by one.

2023-08-27 v1.2C
New "secret" hero added.
The nasty bug related to hero combat sprites has now been patched out and fixed.


Mod Description:
Lead the ant revolution and conquer the overground in Hero's Hour by playing as The Colony Alliance. Their primarily focus on swarming by calling and breeding as many ant reinforcements as possible with the different methods available, they also have a heavier focus on defensive plays.
But if swarming and quantity is not your thing you may opt for quality instead by evolving your ants into the powerful and intelligent Antfolk, but you will require patience, as learning to evolve will take a while, but it will be worth it for the ant revolution.



Mod Contents:
The 9 factions units and their upgrades.
The 6 faction heroes and 6 alternate heroes that have their own unique skill trees.
12 Neutral units.
6 Neutral heroes (and a "secret" 7th).
20 artifacts.
2 artifact sets (experimental).
The only Officially Supported mod, allowing 4 unique mechanics exclusive to Colony

Hello Gentleman Crow, this is fixed in the upcoming v2.6 version of the game since it was something more related to the game itself rather than my own mod

I think that I found a problem with this mod. The problem is that you can not play skirmish mode with this mod enabled. I only have 2 mods installed and this is the one that is causing the problem.

Thanks to working with the dev a proper solution/fix has been found, this is a good time to suggest any balance changes to the heroes themselves or any suggestion really. And any other bug report

Imma read everything. but I just wanted to warn you. Some how your mod is crashing the game and I get a pop up box. I should have copyed it. But like I said, Imma read everything, re-download, and try some other mods and see if it's on my end. I'll update you when I can.

Update:
Update: I am now aware of the very nasty bugs (no pun intended) with the latest version, I have now dealt with most things I had to, or well not most but enough that I have enough time to look at them.Thank you for your patience.

Seems that the method I use to give unique hero combat sprites is no longer supported as of 2.5.1.
Potential fixes have been found, unfortunately it means to either wait for the game to be updated to reintegrate somehow support for said method or remove said sprites entirely and do very downed and worse versions of those sprites (4 frames with a single animation) which is the only way to continue having combat sprites, or for this more official method to be updated as to accommodate for the sprites from my mods (and some other mods unless I am the only one doing it this way).

Would like to know your thoughts if I should just remove those sprites or wait for a potential bugfix in the game to continue supporting them.

Update: I will still no longer update any of my mods but most things have been dealt with. There are still certain things I need to deal with.
There is also the fact that even if I wanted to, there is now a different method of uploading and updating which I still have not received any response or info as to how it works from anyone.
I am working on "true unique" projects though involving these mods but I cannot promise anything as all is just on the thinking and preparation step.

For anyone reading this. I will no longer be updating any of my mods at least for the time being. Due to certain decisions made in the background and by those behind this game along with certain other things. I cannot give further support until certain things are... "dealt with" so for now I apologize but again there will be no more updates.

I like the faction overall but a few things need a bit more work. Worker Spire colonies don't fight alongside the hero thats creating them, you get two separate fights. Seems kind of weird and makes it alot weaker than it should be, the pace it creates units is also kinda underwhelming.
Pheromone spell seems so much weaker than the passive version
Would be nice if there was a third siege equipment like the other factions have now.
