[HOW TO INSTALL] VORTEX MOD MANAGER & MODS

In this Guide i'll show you how to:

-Download Vortex Mod Manager
-Set Vortex Mod Manager up
-Download Mods
-Install Mods

DOWNLOADING VORTEX

First of all you need to visit Nexus Mods, just click on NEXUS MODS[www.nexusmods.com]

After you opened my link you should land on the Nexus Mods Homepage.
You need to register an Account now, click on "Register" in the upper right corner.


A page should open where you can enter your email and sign up, don't worry it is free.


After you are done with the account creation, we can start with the download.

You need to click on "Mods" on the Hotbar.


A new window should appear now, you need to click on "Download" beneath "GET Vortex"


A new Window should appear now, click on "Download the latest Version now"


You will be redirected and need to scroll down until you see "Files"
Click on "Manual Download" and download the Installer.
after that you can just start the Installer, it may take a minute to install then.

SETTING UP VORTEX

Okay after you are done with the download and installation, you can open Vortex now.

After opening Vortex a message will appear that needs you to login, just click on "Login or Register"


Your browser should open now, asking you to "Authorise", just click on it.


Now you are logged in and can start to setup you Manager.

First of all you need to click on "GAMES" it's on the left side.


A new window should appear and you can search for your Game now.

After you found your Game, you need to click on "MANAGE"


Your Game should now be added to "MANAGED".

GETTING MODS

Okay after your Setup of Vortex is done, you need to get some Mods.

I'm going to download Mods for F04 so i'll visit Fallout 4 Mods[www.nexusmods.com], you can also search for other Games after you know how everything works.

This page should open after clicking the link.


I'm going to use a random Mod as an example.

You need to always check the description of the Mod that, you want to download, click on "Requirements", cause some Mods need some extra Mods/DLC's to function.



In this case, the mod does not require any other Mods or DLC's.


Now you need to click on "FILES" and then on "MANUAL DOWNLOAD"


You should be redirected to another site then, just click on "SLOW DOWNLOAD" for the free Download.

ADDING THE MODS

Okay now after we downloaded the Mod we need to open our Vortex Mod Manager again.

Open Vortex and Navigate to "DOWNLOADS"


You then need to drag and drop your downloaded File on the field that says "Drop URL(s) or File(s)"


A message should appear on the right corner then, asking you to "Install", just click on it.

A new Window should appear now, where you can tweak the mod some more if you like, but i'll keep it simple and just keep it as it is and click on "Patches" and then on "Finish"

After you installed the Mod a new Message should appear, asking you to "Enable" it.

After you are donw with all the Steps, you can start your Game and should be able to play with your mods now!
