How to play Nimbusia In EAW "world war" gamemode (NSB)

Basic information

If you are playing single player or normal game mode with friends there will be some sections of this guide applicable but this is not made for you

This guide is written specifically to cater to one game mode. the "world war" game mode. this is a game mode where story and narrative sense is thrown out of the window and replaced with balancing for multiplayer hearts of iron 4. The changes include : Anquilia, Griffonain empire and Griffonian republic on the same team. removing Deponia and Ponaidhean and much much more.

Introduction to Nimbusia

Nimbusia is a small country located to the very east of the river coalition. The ponies of Nimbusia are based on ancient Greek culture with their unique class structure as pegasi on top. this is translated in game with 3 big unique national spirits that provide a multitude of buffs and nerfs, these are:

Citizens, perioikoi and helots
Effect summery : -50 percent recruitable population


Trials of the Cyclone
Effect summery : a massive buff to special forces including +15% attack and defense with an extra +20 to the special forces cap.


Martial society
Effect summery : +20% war support but various nerfs to research and civilian economy


These national focuses narrow down Nimbusia to do 1 thing really well, producing and fielding pegasi. because of the research nerfs and small industry, Nimbusia cannot produce enough tanks compared to Wittenland or River Republic to be viable.

Politics

To get us into a better situation in the game, we need to get the purist (supremacy [fascist]) in power. You get the best military buffs to boost your stats compared to all other paths, also Andreia is a great general to grind.

national focus orders

Follow this preplanned focus order to achieve maximum effect. You can change some things as you see fit. Remember that focuses that give you cores on Kasa are basically a trap, dont do it, it takes too long to get into them.

politics part 1 :

In the political events you should pick the following :

• 1. fight for strength
  
• 2. the boule deliberates
  
• 3. speaking of silver : select "the people choose to invest into the civilian economy."
  
• 4. what to grow? : select "grain, to feed us in dire times."
  
• 5. the ecstasy of foreigners : select "... send the troublemakers home."
  
• 6. renovating the akropolis : select "the purists get their temple of war!"
  
• 7. a scandal of decency : select "the ecclesia demands the lovers' arrest."

politics part 2 :

Pick the following

• 8. censorship of foreign works : select "a campaign for free speech."
  
• 9. a personal bodyguard : select "we must support this proposal"
  
• 10. education for perioikoi : select "citizen first"
  
• 11. a pair of wings : select "arrest the spy"
  
• 12. a new chief of army : select "choose gylhippos"

In case you didn't get enough purists support somehow you have to sit there and activate "support the purist cause" decision until there is enough support.


In case of civil war :
Leave the game and get annexed by River Republic lol. Unless you want to suffer then continue playing.

politics part 3 : smooth sailing

now you have survived the hard part just follow the rest of the focus order and you will be fine

Political power buys

For your first pp buy save up 100 political power for improved workers conditions, you should get it around half way into the focus "Speaking of Silver"


After that save up the political power to use after the coup.

Pp buy order after the coup should look like this: (wait until you finish "abolish the boule" focus so you will pay less for free trade and total mob.

After this do whatever you want but I recommend to pick your military advisors for army xp and prince of terror to get more manpower from conquered lands :

• Army regrouping

the army

waiting for the coup

when the game starts send a volunteer unit to the griffin liberation army and try to capitulate the kingdom of brodfeld as soon as possible. after the gla is dealt with, 1 div train until few moths before your war.

nimbusia male grindset

this is a very advanced strategy, if you cannot complete it, its okay. remember to finish the war in a timely manner.

after the coup is completed immediately justify on austurland
you need to grind on austurland with andreia as a general, you want her to reach level 5 and have these traits on her :

• infantry leader
  
• ranger
  
• hill fighter
  
• adaptable
  
• infantry expert

you also want to set preferred tactic as breakthrough if you have completed the army doctrine tree.

templates

You have 2 options for templates either soft attack or anti tank. both are viable: (authors note, please ignore recon and logistic company, you prob won't be able to afford it)

soft attack

This is build purely to demolish any infantry in its way, soft attack ftw!

anti tank

This build sacrifices some soft attack for the ability to pierce normal tanks. (i like this one more)

To get flame tanks just ask someone. Staliongrad probably has thousands in stockpile, since they start with one already made. just ask at the beginning of the game.
if you are putting recon company make sure it's motorized since normal one can slow your pegasi down.

Research

these are the key techs that you need :

• katyusha : rush it as fast as possible
  
  
• Magical guns : so your pegasi even better : use your bonus from focus
  
• all pegasi techs : +25% org and +5% attack, PER BATTALION.
  
• military application of weather : you can get over 55 air attack WITHOUT AA! with this tech
  
• anti-tank gun : only if you are doing anti tank pegasi
  

Also remember to save 75 xp to get magical guns for your special forces.
