Simple guide on how to survive as france.

Focuses

Rush straight for the defensive strategems focus (CONFIRM EASTERN COMMITMENTS PATH), then do the industrial focuses such as Nationalize key industries and Form the state arsenal. Get foreign guest-workers, and invite Poland and the UK to the Entente. Then you can do whatever you want.

Industry

Start with Civs until you have around 30 available for construction, then switch to mils. Use most of your Mils for IE, with 3 for support, artillery, and tanks.

War with Germany.

Encirclement attack for opening move /\

Before the war starts you should have at least 3 full armies of infantry divisions, and some armored and motorized divisions. Place the motorized army on the Maginot Line with an army of infantry, and with your other 2 infantry armies set a front-line on the Czech-German border. Wait for the war and use your motorized army to punch through the French-German border north of Strasbourg, once you've penetrated their fortresses go straight for Frankfurt and encircle the Germans north of the border by connecting to Belgium, Destroy the pocket and move east to link up with Czechoslovakia. Then focus on the troops trapped to the south. Then walk up north and capitulate the Germans. (This will be easier if the German civil war starts)

If you followed these steps correctly then you should be still alive and done with the Germans. So good job.(I have done this method 5 times, so I know it works)

Do form the popular front for the industry, this is what I did, I haven't tried doing revive the national bloc. It might work, but I am not sure. The method shown above will work.

I got this achievement because the German Civil War kicked off between the German Reich and the German Republic. It was still a hard fought war as France, but the civil war certainly accelerated the downfall of the Reich, along with the multiple allies fighting on various fronts. The "Little Entente" focus is incredibly powerful and the best way to survive as France, especially if your goal is also to get the "Vive la France" achievement which is to make it to 1948 (endgame) without France surrendering or capitulating.
