Description
eugene_field_elementary by mavrik55

I wanted to created a very large elementary school more in line with some of the ones found in large midwestern cities of the United States.

I always feel like the vanilla elementary is so small that I have to constantly place them, and doesn't reflect the scope of most elementary schools. The schools I'm familiar with have running tracks, playgrounds, parking lots and fields for the children to play. These amenities are also often used by the surrounding communities as parks and a place to gather.

Therefore, I have bumped up the student count from 300 to 900 as the footprint of this school is a whopping 11x14, compared with the vanilla which is 1/4 the size. Number of educators/workers is adjusted accordingly as is cost, electric, garbage, and water. However, the range that this school covers is immense, and will dramatically reduce the number of schools that you need to place. In addition, because this school has gathering places, it also serves the community as a park and visually will appear active and well utilized.

Thank you for taking the time to change this - it is appreciated! Love the school! I have the natural disasters dlc, but like many others of the dlc don't find it useful or fun to add to my game. Again, thank you!

I've removed the requirement for Natural Disasters :steamhappy:

You don't have to have Natural Disasters to use this. The asset uses a chain link fence from that DLC, so the only effect on the asset is that the surrounding fence simply won't be there. No gameplay will be affected in any capacity if you don't have the DLC.

Great looking as well as useful asset! Only bad thing about it is that it requires Natural Disasters dlc - but other then that, nice job!

@mavrik55: Sorry for the late reply and thank you for doing that. I honestly was surprised.

FYI, it looks like just re-placing the asset doesn't correctly update the orientation, which means you'll have to bulldoze it first, then place it fresh.
