UAV Feed (Data Terminal) [NATO] v1.4

Description
UAV Feed Station
Creates a global camera, attaches itself to an AR-2 Darter Drone, and displays the camera feed on a Data Terminal.
2 cameras are used on the Darter Drone and have different PiP effects: Left cam (cam 1) has normal and night vision PiP effects, Right cam (cam 2) has thermal PiP.

Important Info / Known issues
  • This has been tested in multiplayer environments where there could be a player with Zeus perms/controls that could spawn this composition and have it work properly for ground players not using a Zeus interface. The Zeus user(s) will not be able to see the displayed feed texture applied to the object, but if they leave the Zeus interface and return to their player state, they will see it.
  • Work In Progress: In a possible future update, this will add another event handler that will allow Zeus users to see the live feed on the screened object while using the Zeus interface.
  • To use this in a scenario like ones mentioned above, make sure you have a file called "Description.ext" in your mission's folder. More info in this very helpful video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SZrnZPvA80
  • DO NOT use this composition on any Official (Public) Zeus servers, as this uses script commands that are blacklisted by Battleye on those particular servers. Doing so will result in you getting kicked from the server with Battleye Remote Execution Restriction #22 - any command with the word "create" such as createGroup, createVehicle, ppEffectCreate, camCreate, etc...
  • The time has finally come where this works properly with usage of the Virtual Arsenal and Virtual Garage. The issue before was that when a player opened any instance of the Virtual Arsenal using BIS_fnc_arsenal, all PIP textures would stop working. Every time a camera is deleted without the terminated effect being applied beforehand, all other PIP textures stopped working. You have to delete and recreate every camera.

Note: The static that appears on some displays (such as this one) are a known issue according to everything related to ArmA 3 and Bohemia Interactive, and there is nothing that can fix it or take it out of the display. it's something to do with the aspect ratio of the display. For example - A "Laptop (Device Readings)" has a different aspect ratio than a "Rugged Laptop (Open)." Static would appear on the rugged laptop, but not the normal laptop.
Also note that there is a maximum amount of 10 cameras that can be created using camCreate, so don't use more than 10 of these compositions or create over 10 camera feeds.

How do you make it so the UAV doesn't just circle the terminal? I've tried giving the UAV waypoints but it just continues to circle the terminal.

@SquidP All I can recommend with that is trial and error. Make sure you don't use any Zeus related modules, as I have not yet figured out how to make it compatible with Zeus servers and have limited knowledge in the SQF language.

I installed the composition, placed it in an unmodded eden map, placed a UAV operator from NATO and i just get a kind of loading screen. I controlled the drone, opened the terminal and its just not working. No clue what to do

For everyone who has asked me about making a video to show how it works, I made a YouTube video a while back doing exactly that. The only other details you should need to know is:

* In the scenario you are in with this composition placed, you need to be a NATO soldier with a UAV Terminal [NATO] in your GPS slot.
* Everything in the sqf script is remoteExecuted, meaning even in a multiplayer scenario, the actions will appear when you are 5 meters near the composition and looking at it.
* I would recommend that you only place down one of these compositions at a time, since the variables for the displayed feeds are tricky.
* If you place this composition in the Eden Editor and somehow find no sqf script in the init field, unsubscribe and resubscribe to the composition. I do not know what would cause that to happen, but resubscribing is the fastest and easiest fix I can suggest.

is there a way to make it so the gunner optic is not locked onto where ever the UAV terminal is?
Simply put, is there a way to control it as a normal UAV?

No, it shouldn't do anything to framerate unless you've got like a hundred other compositions placed down somewhere
