BB Spammer here, i want to share absurd build who take me from legend to divine with just 2 week (and its better to take notes for improving at somewhere instead not taking notes at all). Any change on my BB Pos 1 journey will mainly noted at my steam guide. English isn't my native language, please tell me if there's some mistake at grammar.


Lets introduce Strong-Weakness Pos-1 Bristleback

Strong

Bristleback is fast farmer thanks to warpath and quill spray

Bristleback have lategame-hitter carry potential because of warpath and visual nasal goo

BB Pos 1 can't be hard countered by any hero, that means you can second pick bb every game (hard counter is that you have no game when that hero is picked, like TA and Huskar, PL and Leshrac, etc)

So many itemization path which can you take in every situation. You will learn how to itemize more than you ever had before

You can pair with any pos 5, even zeus null talisman first item


Weakness

Because this is a weird build, you will face more toxic behavior than ever (i have been tipped by 9 people)

BB Pos 1 need space more than you think

Bristleback soft counter is high physical, miss, illu, and constant disable

Tinker is hardest soft counter for bb (constant disable + miss)

Phantom Assassin, Templar Assassin, Ursa (high physical)

Shadow Shaman, Lion, Bane, etc (constant disable)

Troll, Riki (miss)

There is no best pairing for bristleback (like PA + Slardar). I didnt recommend BB + Kotl because you need disable + stun.


First thing you want to understand is

1. Bristleback need attack speed for farming and fighting

2. BB Pos 1 is different than BB pos 3, u wont rely on your passive (Bristleback)

3. Lifesteal is main sustain item, dont trust a build who tell you to buy vanguard first


Powerspike

Lvl 2. You will always get lvl 2 first in lane because you can nuke creeps easily (quill). Abuse this with spamming your quill so you will have lvl 2 first than your enemy

Lvl 6. +125 dmg on max charge is your mini powerspike, consider this thing

Lvl 6 + morbid mask. +30 hp every hit is absurd for early. Time together between level 6 and morbid mask is a must (sometimes you are too rich and buy morbid too fast

Lvl 12. +210 dmg on 7 stack warpath, you can join fight (just fight when that happened in your farm pattern)

Lvl 18 + Aghanim Scepter. 550 Permanent Movement Speed, you can approach enemy support with just walking there

Hyperstone + Travel. You have minimum item to join any fight. (even though travel alone is enough to make you join any fight, i more prefer to farm

Lvl 25. 315 + 216 = 531 dmg on 9 stack warpath. ITS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DIVINE RAPIER


My testing notes

Countering ursa with aghanim scepter is surprising not good because i cant hit that ursa even i stacking 7 goo charge to him, maybe next i will counter with halberd so i can hit him in 3 second window (after few more games, just sustain ursa with satanic is better than buy halberd. Basher ursa MUST countered by halberd)

Countering necro with early boots and spam regen is surprising good, after 2 games i realized i cant sustain necro harass with just ring of regen. Necro have low armor, i have few success with build 2-2-0 (take goo at lvl 2 and 4) on necro.

Force staff is good vs slark + range targetable cores (zeus, sniper) because of semi-600range-blink and break leash, but ♥♥♥♥ my team always blaming me for building such weird item

I had pl + pa games (literally worst game for bb), and i think mjolnirr (or maelstorm + armor item) is decent
