Description
This is a minor modification of Mixmedia's Half-Life 2-inspired campaign, "City 17," updated for versus optimization and a few other cosmetic changes.

This is not intended for official release and is only hosting the file for the Rocinante Server, and will remain unlisted so as not to infringe on the original work.

NOTE: This campaign uses custom music, sound, materials, and models, some of which is contained in a separate pack due to workshop upload restrictions, which you can download here.

The maps and vscripts have been renamed so as not to conflict with the original version, which can be installed concurrently with this one.

For general play outside of the Rocinante server, please subscribe to the original here instead.

Campaign Description:
The survivors find themselves in City 17 from Half-Life 2 Episode 1, fighting against hordes of both infected and headcrab zombies to reach a trainstation and escape.

Short Summary of Changes in this version
  • Updated the campaign to accommodate changes from The Last Stand update.
  • Added HL2's Headcrab Zombies and Various Combine Variants to zombie populations, as well as L4D1 common and uncommon infected variants introduced in the LS update.
  • Added Half-Life 2 themed Pistols, SMG, Spas Shotgun, and Stun Baton (replaces tonfa). Also added pipe wrench (as an homage to Opposing Force).
  • Added custom Half-Life 2 themed safehouse/starting/tank music.
  • Crowbar reskinned to Gordon Freeman's crowbar from HL2.
  • Replaced default tank with Strider "tank," and reskinned witch in "citizen" attire.
  • Boss spawns are now controlled by a custom vscript rather than by the Director, allowing for more consistency and control over where/when witches & tanks can spawn, while still being consistent between rounds of versus.
  • Fixed inconsistent dynamic item spawns & added more melee weapon spawns.
  • Added infected ladders.
  • Cleaned up defunct entities and performed brushwork/vvis/portal optimization.
  • Reduced height of ladder from flooded basement section of map 2 to prevent awkward ledge hangs at the top.
  • First barricade crossing on map 3 can now be traversed backwards via some scaffolding, rather than relying on collision exploits.
  • Added a few railings on edges of plank-walkways and hiding spots for specials on map 4.
  • Map 4 plane crash is now a tank event.
  • Added skylights and train props to central finale area to make it more difficult for survivors to corner up to fight horde.
  • Added G-Man.

各位避雷一下这个战役以及这个页面的第一个合集,说是remaster应该是大改(改路线什么的),但实际上描述说的是小改,再进游戏里玩一遍,压根就没有感受到和原版区别,纯纯特么的浪费我的时间

ok, still needs work before it's playable!

More voice-lines needed, and don't let tanks spawn until the team has more than secondary weapons ! When this is decent, let me know and I'll replay!

This map is worse than the original City 17. The changes to the map make the gameplay worse. The main differences are the lower quality textures and skins. A "Remastered" map should have major map design or route/path changes so we can explore different areas of the map that were blocked before.
Remove the new textures and skins, and change the map routes / paths, and the map will be better.
