The galaxy is dying. Between the Polaris Mining Corporation and the Zirax mining efforts, most of the galaxy has been nearly depleted of all resources. You've crash landed on a planet in the Orntell system, one of the neutral systems between Zirax and Polaris territory. In order to survive, you must salvage the materials you need from the many junkyards strewn across the system, both planetside and in space. Use your salvaged resources to explore the Orntell system, and uncover the mystery of the Ghost Ships that plague the system, and venture into the wider galaxy in search of your destiny...

Recommended for Single Player or Co-Op.

Mard Orntell:
Difficulty: Easy
Start:Crashed Cryo Module
Armor: None

As a passenger on board the UES Taurus, you awaken from cryo-sleep to find yourself in the wreckage of one of the ship's Cryo Modules. The world outside was once a temperate planet with lakes, vast plains and mountain ranges. However, the Zirax Empire has turned much of this planet into a wasteland, with numerous junkyards around the world. The watertable has become poluted with radiation, and reactor leakage from abandoned vehicles has irradiated the junkyards. The Zirax use Ripper Dogs to protect the junkyards from would-be scavengers.


Riada:
Difficulty: Medium
Start: Crashed Cryo Module
Armor: None

As a passenger on board the UES Leo, you awaken from cryo-sleep to find yourself in the wreckage of one of the ship's Cryo Modules. The world outside was once an arid planet with parched mountains, rugged savanna and grueling plains, shriveled lake-beds with the remains of once thriving plant and animal life. However, the Zirax Empire has turned much of this planet into a wasteland, with numerous junkyards around the world. The watertable has become poluted with radiation, and reactor leakage from abandoned vehicles has irradiated the junkyards. The Zirax use Ripper Dogs to protect the junkyards from would-be scavengers. This hot, dry and unrelenting planet has a thin atmosphere that is un-breathable by humans.


Tohh Orbit:
NOTE: This Description is NOT available in game due to a known, but low-priority bug.
Difficulty: Hard
Start: Derelict CryoShip
Armor: None

As a passenger on board the UES Speedwell, you awaken from cryo-sleep to find the ship has been overrun by Zirax, and towed to a Junkyard in orbit of a Snow Planet. You must attempt to drive back the Zirax intruders and make your way to the surface of the planet.





- A massive randomly-generated galaxy with more than twice the star systems as the default scenario, including a massive high-level area beyond the galaxy's edge intended for future Endgame Content.

- Custom PDA Missions and Tech-Tree based on a "Specialty" system. Specialize in Combat, Engineering, Exploration or Medical. Cross-Specialize when you can to gain access to different weapons, devices, and items.

- A lot of Salvageable structures, including many Bases, Hover Vessels, Small Vessels, and Capital Vessels.

- Very Few Mineable resources.

- All Planets and Playfields modified to fit the "Salvage" theme.

- All planets and most space playfields have junkyards where you can salvage parts, or claim entire structures or vessels.

- Custom repairable Derelict Space Stations.

- Custom-faction "Ghost Ships" with possible Ultra Rare (Epic) Loot Crates

- Custom Planet Types:
- Junkyard (A temperate planet used by the Zirax as a junkyard).
- Cursed (Explore the Origins of the Ghost Ship; to be used with the PDA story missions in the near future)
- Quarantine (A barren planet quarantined by the Polaris faction due to Nightmarish infestations. Only accessible via teleporter; visited in the Medic Rank 5 and the Exploration Rank 6 PDA missions.)

- Lots of Custom Junk POIs including Polaris-specific Junk and Decommissioned Freighters (Fixable CVs), and new Junkyard Defensive structures!



UPCOMING FEATURES:

- Additional Custom Salvageable CVs, SVs, HVs, and BAs. (Constant additions each update)

- Massive Update to Space-based Junk:
Starship Graveyard sector based on one from a previous Scenario of mine.
Small Debris Field POIs around all Space playfields (some that may contain valuable loot)

- Non-Specialized PDA Missions flavored specifically for the "Salvage" playstyle.

- Repeatable Faction-based Missions to allow you to improve your standing with any faction (even Zirax).

- Additional Starting locations with unique missions for each Specialization.

- New Starting Locations: Currently planned Starship Graveyard and Quarantined planet.

- "No-Story" Starting Locations: Temperate, Arid, and Snow Junkyard, for players who don't care about the storyline, and just want to explore the galaxy on their own terms. (Specializations will still be available).

- A massive End-Game storyline that pits the player against the toughest enemies in the galaxy as they explore the Cursed Expanse beyond the edge of the galaxy and attempt to push back against a force of darkness that threatens to extinguish the light from the entire galaxy.

This also, in my experience, removes the 'spooky music', because you resaved a modified version from creative using this method.

You can do it, but it requires a bit of work to take over the POI, then save it in the factory menu as a blueprint, then spawn it in creative and modify it such as removing the NPC spawners, if they are there, then resave THAT new version, then swap the files with the one in survival. It takes some work, but in single player at least, it can be done. I have had games with half a dozen of each version of the best POIs, all done by swapping the files. You can even make bases into functional CVs, even without structural integrity so it becomes an actual CV.

@09Klr650, unfortunately, you cannot remove the ambient "music" of a POI, even after taking it over.

Still on my 1.7 playthrough, will eventually start a 1.8. But a question if I may. How do you turn off the "spooky sound effects" once you core and take over one of the derelict trade stations?
