Type 90 Main Battle Tank (JGSDF)

The Type 90 Main Battle Tank was developed by the Japanese Ministry of Defense Technology Research and Development Institute (JMDTRDI) in collaboration with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It was designed around 1980 and went into production from 1990 up to 2009. It was (and somewhat still is) the main MBT for the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force even today. It is armed with an autoloaded Rheinmetall 120mm smoothbore gun and two machine guns. One machine gun is coaxial while the other is top mounted. It has a high top speed but low survivability.
