Remember the Alamo!

Description
This map is made as true to real life as I could make it. I referenced several diagrams of the Alamo and tried to depict it as best I could with the resources available in the map editor. Hope you enjoy!

This is good but there are a lot of problems that you need to fix

Finally, now I get to play in the best siege battle of all time.

The map is great, I love the detailing. It is incredibly glitched however. The mexicans usually only stay on the wall that is facing the town, and the Texans stay on the north wall. The AI cannot get to certain points and there is a glitch that allows the defenders to hug the edge of the north wall and they seem to be largely protected from enemy fire.

I think a Verdun map would work fairly well since the AI will stick to trenches. It would be a lot of work making the map look right though.

I need to take the time to learn how to script so I can look into scripting AI

Sadly I'm not sure if there is yet, Steel is working slowly on giving scripters more abilities to script the AI themselves, so maybe down the road we'll see proper lines. I can only hope

King_CreepaLot yeah I've seen them form lines like that on this Alamo map, I thought there was a way to make them move in line, that would be a dream come true for all the maps I've made so far.

Howdy, if I recall the way to get bots to form 'lines' is really just a piece of flat cover. Bots really love cover and so will stick to it, you can see it in use in maps like Rummist's Bunker Hill or the Volley Fire map. I've made trenches in Rancagua where the bots sometimes form lines. Hopefully that can help you out a bit.

MercySeat, I'm gonna bet that guy who made it possible to form musket lines probably did some scripting to make it happen. I've been racking my mind to think of a battle that would mesh well with the AI's tactics but isn't already saturated with other maps like any WWII map. I could possibly do a Blackhawk down map but my passion lies more in the Victorian period. When you say Eastern conflicts are you talking about Eastern front during WWII/WWII or like Vietnam?

I feel like the trick with historical maps in this game is finding ones that would play well with the way Ravenfield's AI is designed to run. That makes a lot of what you suggested more complicated to make as the bots won't do anything that even resembles realistic tactics from the time, but there was one guy recently, (I could totally find his map again if you wanted me to), who managed to get something resembling musket lines going on an American Revolution-style map so it can definitely be done. I'm no expert, but I feel like a lot of Eastern conflicts from the last century or two are fairly untouched in this workshop and could lead to some cool projects. Speaking personally, I've always been a fan of any large-scale stuff too. I've never been any good with the editor myself but if you ever wanna workshop some designs or ideas hit me up I'd love to help out!

MercySeat I hope you enjoy it! If anyone has suggestions for other historic maps, let me know. I was thinking about maybe making a Fredericksburg map or Antietam. I think a Fredericksburg map showing the battle between Barksdale and the Federals trying to cross into the town would be fun. Or a map for Burnside's Bridge
