During the World Wars, every nation's military still issued combat bayonets and knives to regular infantry. In the dawn of WW1, these were still the leftover from Napoleonic and post Napoleonic warfare, with cavalry on the battlefield and charges, and over time bayonets developed further. Several nations experimented with machete bayonets for the jungle, bayonets with edges that served as shovels, edges for wood cutting and so on.
This pack includes melee weapons for 3 nations, the UK, the US and Japan (although the M1917 bayonet works for other nations too), and is likely to be expanded in the future with other bayonets, such as the Kar98k's and others
