ConRail GP38-2 No. 8066

Description
(Requires ABStudios' American Freight Expansion pack).

This is a solitary GP38-2 in the standard ConRail blue livery. I made this to serve as a companion to my CR GP15-1 re-skin, but obviously it can be used on its own as well.

CR 8066 was built in 1973, originally for Penn Central. She retained her original number when ConRail inherited her in 1976. At some point in the mid-1980s, the engine was repainted in CR blue. She remained in service long enough to be passed into Norfolk Southern’s fleet, becoming NS 5274 in the process.

As of November 2021, the former ConRail 8066 is now in service with the Indiana Harbour Belt as their number 3800.
