How to read a book in DayZ

This guide will teach you how to read in your favourite zombie survival game, DayZ.

Step 1: Find a book

So, if you want to read in DayZ you're going to want to find something to read. Step 1 is to find a book. You can find them in residential and civilian areas in the game and there are 150 different books that you can find.

Step 2: Read the book

Once you find a book, reading it is the easy part. Drag the book from where you found it to your toolbar. After that, go to the slot you put your book in (by pressing the number of what slot your book's in) and a book should pop up! Press shift to bring up the numbers of the pages and the controls to turn the pages Most books are really long. The book that I used for this guide was almost 500 pages!

I'll read them, but I can't imagine many more will. Only took me 5 seconds to see a comment asking "how much burning paper can I get from a book."? Considering scrap paper is literally everywhere - every ammo pack for a start - I'm glad I'm not playing on the same server as that guy.

If there are say, 500 pages, would that mean you can get 500 pieces of paper from them (or around 250 if it is counting a sheet of paper which is two pages in a book)?
