Description
ROYAL CLASSES
Unlock and master three new classes (Spy, Zealot, and Grave Knight), each one inspired by a different faction in Horizon’s Gate. Royal Questgivers (Admin Ovarr, Auspex Mond, and the Viceroy) can offer training in their faction’s class for 30 standing. Alternatively, you can infiltrate one of the famous parties of Lord Flaxenmarc to unlock these classes in other ways.

Lord Flaxenmarc’s estate can be found east of Bagu’s Rest at 64 N, 65 W.. The challenges present at the estate are suitable for early to mid-game parties, though there is a hidden boss deep below the mansion that will be more challenging.

This mod can fit into any playthrough with no need of starting a new game. It works well with my other mods, but they are not required. Consider combining this mod with Javelin Crafting to give your Zealot more weapon options.

Features:
  • 3 New Classes
  • New Adventure Location (comprised of 5 zones)
  • New Items
  • New Puzzles
  • Dangerous New Enemy

Spy: a stealthy infiltrator with a penchant for poisons
  • Toxify: Inflict progressive ailments in a 2 tile line (poison, blind, then silence).
  • Misericorde: Strike with a dagger attack that deals more damage for each ailment on the target. Cures the target.
  • Reconnaissance: Learn a target’s weakness while reducing their physical defenses and stalling their action.
  • Stalk: Move a long distance and become invisible, leaving behind a decoy to distract enemies.
  • Mage Hunter: Strike your target for half damage, dispel them, and lower their MP.
  • Acquired Taste: Immunity to poison.
  • Escape Artist: Immunity to immobilize.
  • Blend In: Ending your turn with foes adjacent to you results in invisibility.
  • Dirty Tactics: Inflict itchy to adjacent foes at the start of your turn.

If you're stuck trying to unlock the Spy, consider using oil.

Zealot: a spear throwing firebrand
  • Burning Wrath: Enchant the weapons of all nearby allies with fire damage, but also burn them.
  • Cauterize: Cure the ailments afflicting all allies and then set yourself on fire.
  • Sacred Spear: Throw a fiery javelin that deals more damage to undead and burns adjacent enemies.
  • Heavy Throw: Throw a powerful javelin that stuns and pushes your target back.
  • Trance: Double your fire skill for a time.
  • Born Anew: Whenever you are revived you gain full MP and more HP.
  • Enduring Wrath: Increase the durations of all Zealot active abilities.
  • Conviction: Increase your shield skill and start combat with Negate.
  • Blaze of Glory: Release a burning explosion whenever you are KO’d.

Grave Knight: a grim warrior with icy defenses
  • Ice Floe: Slide in a straight line, leaving ice in your wake and dealing ice damage in an area on your arrival.
  • Rust Strike: Strike with a watery attack that deals more damage to machines and can break enemy weapons.
  • Rigor Mortis: Reduce your target’s movement speed and jumping ability while also dealing more damage to undead.
  • Hibernaculum: Freeze yourself and summon ice spikes in adjacent tiles. Regain HP and MP.
  • Frozen Forge: Enchant your weapons and armor with ice magic.
  • Cryostasis: Gain guard, ward, and preserve for a short time when frozen.
  • Hiemal Homecoming: Ice damage now revives you with 1 HP. When revived, you deal ice damage to nearby foes.
  • Frozen Fetters: While frozen, counter melee attacks by copying all of your ailments onto the attacker.

Thanks for the report, Celtia. Modded status effects should now interact with ruin touch effects like Misericorde appropriately now. Well, MY modded status effects. I can’t speak for anyone but myself. As for Blend In, I’ll check it out and see if I can improve the way it works with other invisibility sources.

I've only had access to the Spy so far, but loving the design. I have noticed, however, that Blend In is a bit awkward -> If I have a character use Stalk (move 2 and become invisible until next turn), then it seems that a different source of "hidden" will overwrite the duration of the invisibility.

Meaning if you Stalk next to an enemy character and end your turn, Blend In will basically shrink your turn-long hidden buff with a mere 6 time to act buff. Similarly, the Book of Thieves (Spy) seems to work a little awkwardly with it.

The other issue is that Misericorde (and I think other similar affects, like Ruin Touch) don't seem to gain benefits from some of the new status effects in the mod pack, like Fatigue and Delirium. That may be an intentional design choice, but it does seem unintuitive to me (Fatigue, at least, seems like an exclusively negative condition).

Thanks for the report, Square. I’ll fix this soon. I appreciate your efforts!

Reporting a minor typo in rc actors.txt that prevents one from getting the journal entry for the Mimic - you've got journalID=rc_journal_mimic; under [ActorType] but ID=rc_journal_rc_mimic; for its [JournalEntry].

There’s a room on the second floor with some coals in the corners. Light all of them on fire and take a step to receive a hint. If that’s still not enough, let me know and I can provide more detailed steps.

How do you get zealot in the manor? I have been searching for 2 hours and I've kinda given up.

Thank you!

Yes, Khazidd. The portcullis can be bypassed with certain mobility abilities. You can also enter from the right hand side by way of a secret passage. Your hint is to look for the turquoise carpet . If you can't get into that bottom right room, try lighting all the coals in the room above it, and then taking a step.

is it possible to get into the treasure room upstairs?
