Easily in my top 10 favorite games of all time. Do not underestimate how great this game is.

While it is decorated with as a "pirate" game, the pirate themes make up only 1/3rd of the game. The other 2/3rds are filled with high fantasy and awesome magic. For me, I've barely entertained the pirate-ness and have been playing more of an adventuring experience where sailing just happens to be my mode of transportation. Which is exactly what I want.

Imagine:
- Divinity (environment interaction / elemental reactions, combat)
- Mount & Blade (the traveling, economy, recruitment, etc.)
- Fire Emblem (combat)
- Stardew Valley (in art style)
- inspirations from many others. There is something for everyone here.

Notable things:
- Living economy
- Crazy awesome classes and character customization
- Dojos
- Arenas
- Exploration
- Great itemization
- Engaging Combat
- Tons of charming dialogue and world building
- Every system is very cohesive making the game complex but very accessible. Its a low bar to get started and feel in control, but a high ceiling.


As I write this I am 15 hours in. And I've only scratched the surface.

Its the pacing, progression, the cohesion, and the well thought out story that only a CRAFTSMAN game developer would be able to design that impresses me the most with this game.
