Description
The Wildlander Invasion is a short Vvulf-style Hamlet invasion mod that takes place over a single quest involving the Wildlander, a faction from the upcoming Black Reliquary Overhaul.

OVERVIEW

After week 50, and once the player has at least four level 6 heroes, there is a chance that the Hamlet will be raided by a band of Wildlanders which needs to be fought off. This group hails from the distant east and is lead by the Warhawk, who must be eliminated to disperse the remaining Wildlanders. Much like Wolves at the Door, ignoring this assault will result in the hamlet sustaining damage to its buildings, and retreat leaves a random hero behind.



FEATURES
This mod includes:
- Two new trophy trinkets.
- New enemies from the upcoming Black Reliquary mod project.
- A new boss fight from the Black Reliquary.

The normal monsters are cool and its kinda like you have to pick which one to kill before they do their buff but the boss has to be the worst balanced and designed boss of any mod. You cant mover her, cant stun, cant bleed, cant blight, cant debuff, and cant guard vs her. You can destroy or prevent her from just dumping multiple 25+ aoes that blight and bleed, and then if you do get her low she will spam heal while using her 3 turns to still aoe dump on you.

Wish I could leave a more fair review of this mods boss but steam has a 1000 word limit on comments so I probably came off as a bit more critical and less explanatory then I really want to be. For anyone curious I'll just say this;

If you're mostly vanilla you should avoid unless you're very hardcore. This is a boss that gets multiple attacks multiple times a round, and has invincible barriers that they move through each round. This also ensures that things like marking don't work, because they will lose marks (up to three-four rounds) after you mark them. Cause they move that much, lol. It's a beatable boss if you know what to expect and have a team comp designed specifically for it. Tough part is then getting to it with that comp, because the enemies are also dangerous. But be ready for that, because the mechanics of this boss make certain strategies impossible. Not in a clever way, in my opinion, just as an oversight or poor judgement call by the designer.

God damn is that boss seriously unforgiving. Kind of mean to make a boss that will just wipe you if you don't have a perfect team comp made specifically for it. Seems kind of unfair that the boss is basically immune to stun and has high pull resistance. But I mean, that can be managed. I do think maybe you overtuned the attacks though. It wouldn't be so bad if the boss didn't get two attacks every turn, and three to four moves every round, meaning things like marking is literally impossible, lol.

Really sucks for me because I went in with a team SPECIFICALLY MADE to mark and destroy enemies. So basically I lost at the selection screen. It did not matter because by the time I mark them they are unmarked by my next heroes action. Every. Time. That, seems really unfair. I get the whole mechanic of moving them down the line for special attacks, but... does it have to delete marking from the game?

It might already be mentioned, by I do think you should either change the info text here or adjust the mod to do what it actually says. I had NO level 6 heroes and I got the veteran version of the event (got a bunch of lvl 5), now I have 3 level 6 heroes - all of them shard mercs - and I got the champion version. So either the information you give here is incorrect or something is not working properly

Fantastic animations, although the dungeon being labelled as 'short' is ridiculously false advertising lol. It was a goddamn gauntlet.

dude you clearly don't know how to balance stats of the enemies like they do a lot of damage and they have a high doge!, like I swear you must be joking 36 doge is too much the most is 20 or or least 25 this MF doge most of the attacks and they are immune to most of the effects like most of the time I was using riposte so I can hit them and yet most of it go to doge and the same go for your other mods the enemies have an OP stats that i had to use some OP trinkets to win like one that cause all the enemies to take 4 damage after ever hit and more, you clearly need to lower the stats or the enemies would be too OP and become a pain in the ass instead of a fun battle

This is probably the hardest modded boss excluding bosses who have specific mechanics (Sunward Isles). Without prior knowledge this is an extremely hard boss to the point it feels impossible at times. I beat it at vanilla with this mod but I consider myself extremely lucky.

For those who use multiple trinkets mod or some busted character mods go ahead. Others who play close to vanilla, be prepared to lose characters.

After one fight and with knowledge this is pretty doable. The only problem is that this is not a SHORT DUNGEON, it's the length of a medium with no camping and less provisions. At least give us more provisions, I don't care about camping buffs and I bet some people will be starving before they reach the boss.

4 heroes level 6 I think this quest short will be few rooms. 12 fights against enemies that focus on the weaker hero. Miraculous arrival to the boss, 3 actions attack first round kills my healer. comes to half life, but boss can recover it, excellent. Excellent can also summon allies. Excellent difficult to stun. Team result completely annihilate of levels 6 and game practically thrown. A short quest advice can’t have so many rooms or at least allow to bring a bonfire, because if you don’t have a specific team against this boss you lost. Obviously I’m not a decent player. However graphics and enemies made very well, congratulations.
