[REP] Repentance Plus

REPENTOGON is not something to ask about here. You should install it and enjoy optimization that comes out of the box, but it is unlikely that this mod will benefit from its API improvements, or that we will implement any sort of compatibility.

If you don't care about unlocks and unlocks system causes errors or lags on your end, you may want to use clean version of the mod.

Since the arrival of Repentance v1.7.9b, different mods can break this mod in different ways. Mostly those are the ones that use Mod Config Menu (Continued) dependency, but not all of them. It is every user's individual task to identify and disable the culprit. Likewise, it is every modder's task to fix the incompatibility on their end. This mod (or REPENTOGON, which deprecates the former) can be installed to potentially fix all the related issues, including the one that makes the mod re-lock all the unlocks constantly.

Repentance Plus is a mod that adds:

• 59 new items;
  
• 23 new trinkets;
  
• 41 new cards;
  
• 6 new pills;
  
• 17 new heart subtypes;
  
• 4 new chest variants, a beggar, a grid entity variant, and a bit more?

into the game!

This mod was designed to provide a more thorough Repentance experience, because it does what devs didn't want to do: brings all remaining unlocks, thematically fitting for tainted characters, into the game, awarding players for beating final bosses on hard difficulty:

• Mom's Heart;
  
• Ultra Greed;
  
• Boss Rush;
  
• ♥♥♥♥♥;
  
• Isaac;
  
• Blue Baby;

and unlocking the respective tainted character, equalizing the amount of unlocks for a- and b-sides!
It also provides console commands, a MCM dependency, and a DSS embeddable menu, which can be used to unlock modded content. Keep in mind that the content will not be unlocked retroactively; you can read more on that at the mod's Wiki.

Repentance Plus features full support with External Item Descriptions and Encyclopedia mods. It also has minor compatibilities with many other big mods on the workshop!

This mod is open source[github.com]. Source code is fully available for learning, using as a reference and copying with modifications. Crediting the owner (Mr. SeemsGood) will be very welcome, but is not mandatory. Corrections to the mod can also be submitted through PR's in the repository.

I've moved Github page for the mod to the private archive. You can still learn the source code, use it as a reference or copy it with modifications, but you can now only do so by downloading the mod and viewing it in your local directory. If you want to contribute to the mod, let me know. I'm open to discussion!
