Anima Fruit

Description
Have you ever wanted to turn a non-psychically sensitive colonist into a decent psycaster without loading them up with psy apparel? Well, today is your lucky day!



-Anima Fruit that grows around the tree naturally.
-Once ingested, gives a permanent boost to meditation psyfocus gain and psychic sensitivity in the form of a hediff
-Stacks up to 5 times before becoming worthless on that one pawn.
-Can be given to animals to give them a psylink level (With the use of the 'Psychic Animals' Mod!)



Anima fruit takes 30 Days to grow. This is half an ingame year, and the time it takes for the anima fruit to actually appear at the base of the tree is random, and not governed by anything the player does (Meditation doesn't make it occur more often.)

If the fruit never gets harvested (Left at maturity) A new plant will not grow. This could be detrimental as it wastes potential time that could be used for a new plant growing.

Anima fruit is not grow-able by pawns or naturally occuring.

Only one anima fruit can grow around the tree at a time.

Anima fruit is counted as a food! This means colonists will eat it without your permission if it is not forbidden!

If you are using the VIE-Anima retexture mod, Please load this mod AFTER that mod. Or you may experience issues.


Note: Due to this mod being Commissioned, and Wolfcub05 not being the original coder (Nor having any XML coding experience whatsoever) Fixes and Patches wlll be either slow, or wont happen at all. Feel free to tell me about issues! But don't expect anything to come in a timely manner.

@VelxraTV - as people talked about it before, this mod is a) obviously abandoned and b) has a broken loadFolders file ever since. But the solution to fix it yourself is also stated here - it's literally a single typo to be fixed.

Other than that... just use the other/original 'Anima Fruit' mod instead, which is at least maintained. This one's unlikely to return and with it being a commissioned mod, blindly forking it might cause some legal issues that's not worth it for the little it really does.

Even though I dont have this mod enabled. Im getting this error on the menu. Shared it on the thread discussing it.

not sure, but i feel the fruit is probably similar to the grass. one would have to have the nature focus and actually meditate at the tree. typically a tribal start gives that kind of focus.

played around with it a little, the fruit itself works fine but the plant doesn't grow in 1.5 anymore. I stays besides the tree at 1% for 3 years

doesn't seem to actually grow, it spawns but after a whole year, it was stuck at 3.1%

OKAY, IF THE MOD WON'T LOAD FOR YOU, I POSTED DIRECTIONS IN THE DISCUSSIONS FORUM.

Long story short, LoadFolders.xml has THREE errors in it, not one. It won't load for as long as the <li>Common</li> is in there. Besides fixing the missing ">", you need to change those <li>Common</li> to <li>1.3</li> and <li>1.4</li>

Okay I removed literally every single mod. My modlist is literallly Harmony, Core + DLC, HugsLib, AnimaFruit, XML Extensions. It's getting some error that doesn't seem to even track in the logs that stops EVERYTHING from loading. You can't do shit with this mod.

I've got pretty much every anima mod possible, but I've never seen the anima fruit. I think maybe once, a long time ago.

For some reason the mod doesn't seem to even be loading (yes I have the loadFolders fix). I get the error:

"Could not resolve cross-reference: No Verse.ThingDef named Plant_AnimaFruit found to give to RimWorld.CompProperties_SpawnSubplant RimWorld.CompProperties_SpawnSubplant
(Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h Line: 39)" in logs.

And in debug mode, Plant_AnimaFruit doesn't even show up to spawn.

It's pretty far down my load order, too :(
