Description

Update of Madolinns mod
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1241579445

- Fixed the designator, smeltable go in the smelter, burnable go in the crematorium
- Added designator on items for easier smelting, added Harmony as requirement.
- From 1.5 smelting can only be done of things defined to be smeltable by the game, this is a known limitation

History

3/30/20 : Updated: We have done it. Version 1.1 compatible.

2/6/19 : Updated: Added burning apparel at a crematorium. Added hauling job requirement. Probably will break things again. Sorry.

2/4/19 : It literally broke everything. Fixed?

2/2/19 : Updated to V1.0. If it breaks something tell me.

What does this do.

Adds a tool to designate specific items to smelt, and a bill for the smelter to process them.

The tool can be found under the Orders tab. Simply drag a box or click on items.

A smelter must still be built, and a bill must be placed to smelt the items marked. This allows you to suspend smelting easily.

Smelt Orders can be cancelled by clicking on an item and pressing cancel, or by using the vanilla order cancel multi-select tool.

Items moved from hauling have designations removed. This is a vanilla feature. It will remove your smelting order if it's moved prior to smelteing.

@UmbraAtrox You cant smelt wood

no error, but wooden objects do get ignored. Needs a "destroy designated objects" order which doesn't seem to exist. :(

I've found in my use of the mod that it does still work, but with 1.5 smelting definitions it only works on things that are metal or by game terms, smeltable. So no smelting that wooden bow anymore. Designating these things will not work and the item will sit there. You'll have to set a burn/destroy order for that.

This is still useful if you on occasion come across that Mastercraft Steel Club that is just a waste of resources. Those high quality useless weapons you come across mid - late game.

ik this is a continuation but is there any way you could make items keep their smelt designations even after being hauled?
Unex Feb 9, 2023 @ 9:38am
One issue with this mod is that if you designate something that is in field, it then can get hauled and after getting hauled, the item loses the designation for smelting and you need to re-designate again. Doing it with weapons scattered in the stockpile is a lot more difficult than in field after battle cause you know what to keep and what to burn, especially if you use shelves that make it more difficult to see/select.
