[1.5] Crossbows

Description
RimWorld's weaponry is a bit lacking in some areas. Just as there are no Industrial era melee weapons, there are no Medieval era ranged weapons. This mod adds the latter in the form of crossbows!

Crossbows are medieval era weapons that are typically stronger than bows, but take much longer to load and fire with. This mod adds three of these crossbows, each with its own "gimmick," so to speak. Due to the lack of medieval era factions in the core game, these weapons appear in low to mid-tier PawnKinds, such as scavengers and town guards. If you have Vanilla Weapons Expanded, their crossbow is patched to be built similarly to these crossbows. if you have Vanilla Factions Expanded - Medieval, their Bowmen can now wield these crossbows. You can create these weapons after researching Crossbows.

The weapons added to the game are:
  • Crossbow - A ranged weapon that uses a bow-like assembly mounted on a frame to launch projectiles called bolts or quarrels. Due to the user not needing to maintain tension by hand, crossbows are much more accurate than bows. The crossbow is much stronger than standard bows, being able to pierce through metal, however, they are slow to load and fire.
  • Repeating Crossbow - An ancient crossbow design made in ancient China, the repeating crossbow has a wooden magazine on top of the bow. Bolts are placed in, and the lever is pushed and pulled to repeatedly launch them. The crossbow was designed to fire by the hip, making it quite inaccurate. The repeating crossbow's bolts were too weak to pierce armor or fly far. The repeating crossbow fires volleys of bolts, making them useful for crowd control and mass-fire.
  • Bullet-shooting Crossbow - Also called a stone bow, the bullet-shooting crossbow is a special crossbow designed to sling stones and primitive bullets instead of bolts. The bow is specially designed with two different strings to act like a slingshot. Despite shooting bullets, the small ammunition was ineffective for combat and was mostly used for small game hunting. This type of bullet-shooting crossbow is the improved version made by the English designed to shoot lead bullets which were stronger and more accurate. These crossbows deal blunt damage instead of sharp damage.

    Note: The weapons in this mod use MedievalRangedDecent as weaponTags. If you want your race/faction to use these weapons, their PawnKinds must add these weaponTags in a patch.

    This is my first ranged weapon mod, so please be kind about some unbalanced stuff. It will be resolved in future updates.

After a long try (more or less), I have to say "Well done".

Your overall rebalancing worked, artworks are good and patching is even better.

Wish you good luck for this mod, and let me give some feedback in the future if I had.

I'll take into account what you said and do some balancing next update. This is the first time I'm making ranged weapons so I'm a bit dumb in making them.

At a first look, a bit of balancing is needed.

First, you should lower crafting levels, especially for "Bullet-Shooting Crossbow" due to its weakness.

Also, I thing AP is too low for "Repeating Crossbow" and too high for "Bullet-Shooting Crossbow". Perhaps it's better to switch their AP values?

Finally, also tuning the burst rate count for "RP-Crossbow" would be good, from 4 to 3, and raising its damage from 5 to 7.

Sorry if I looked like "teachy". You look like a beginner modder, like me, and I like helping if I can. I will use this mod in my game and give you more feedbacks.
