The Class C62 (C62形) is a type of 4-6-4 steam locomotive built by Japanese National Railways in Japan and designed by Hideo Shima. The C62 was built with a 4-6-4 frame, upon which was mounted the boiler of the JNR Class D52 2-8-2 locomotives.
These were the largest and fastest steam passenger locomotives to run in Japan, and hauled the Tsubame (swallow) express on the Tōkaidō Main Line between Tokyo and Osaka.
C62 17 broke the speed record for a narrow-gauge steam locomotive on 15 December 1954 when it reached 129 km/h (80 mph) on the Tokaido Main Line. This locomotive is now preserved in the SCMaglev and Railway Park in Nagoya.
The C62 has achieved a level of fame due in part to the manga/anime series Galaxy Express 999, in which the express is pulled by an advanced space locomotive that is built to replicate a C62.

Get passenger cars from here.

1. Get into the cab.
   
2. Push Request Control button.
   
3. Open the firebox by pushing Firebox button.
   
4. Pick up some coal from tender and throw them into firebox.
   
5. Push Ignitor button to ignite the firebox.
   
6. Switch Pumps to ON.
   
7. Wait for the boiler to make some steam.
   
8. Press AUTO button to automatically keep the boiler pressure. Or you can manually control it by pressing Water Valve button. The safety valve will automatically prevents boiler from exploding if pressure is bigger than 9.
   
9. Set Reverser 1 will move forward, -1 to move backward.
   
10. Independent Brake controls the brake only on this car. Auto Brake controls brakes on all car. Don't forget to push Request Control button.
    
11. Regulator controls speed.
    
12. Set Air to 0 will put out the fire in the firebox.
    
13. Horn needs some steam to work.

Set Physics Detail to Medium or above!
Set to Low may cause some issues on pistons.
If you have issue with pistons, you can stop them by pushing Disable Piston button.

国鉄C62形蒸気機関車は日本国有鉄道の旅客用テンダー式蒸気機関車である。
1948年から翌1949年にかけてD52形蒸気機関車の改造名義で49両が製造され、その牽引力や重量から、輸送量を要求される主に平坦地や軟弱地盤の少ない東海道本線、山陽本線など主要幹線の優等列車牽引に使用された。通称シロクニ。松本零士の漫画作品『銀河鉄道999』に登場する主要列車「999号」の牽引車のモデルとして広く知られる。

客車はこちらから入手できます。

1. 運転台に入ります。
   
2. Request Control ボタンを押します。
   
3. Firebox（火室）ボタンを押して火室を開きます。
   
4. 炭水車から石炭を取って火室に放り込みます。
   
5. Ignitor（着火）ボタンを押して着火します。
   
6. Pumps（各種ポンプ）をオンにします。
   
7. ボイラーが沸くのを待ちます。
   
8. AUTOボタンを押すと自動的にボイラーに給水します。もしくはWater Valve（注水弁）ボタンで手動で調整できます。圧力が9以上になると安全弁が作動します。
   
9. Reverser（逆転器）を1にすると前進、-1にすると後退します。
   
10. Independent Brake（単弁）は機関車のブレーキのみを作動させます。Auto Brake（自弁）は全車両のブレーキを作動させます。Request Control ボタンを押すのを忘れずに。
    
11. Regulator（加減弁）でスピードを制御します。
    
12. Air（風戸）を0にすると火室を消火します。
    
13. 汽笛は動作に蒸気圧が必要です。

物理設定(Physics Detail)を中以上にしてください!
低にするとピストンの動作が悪くなります。
ピストンに問題が生じたらDisable Pistonボタンをオンにするとピストンの動作を停止できます。
