Bloodbox (Mod Version) Blood magic, black magic, hypnotism, conjuration, weapons, and more

Description
The unfortunate name came about because I lazily renamed "sandbox" to "bloodbox" in the earliest iteration of the mod.

This mod does not edit any existing game files or content, it only adds additional content.
I have tested and tweaked this with a new game as well as older games with older versions of the mod installed and it seems to work well without any issues so you should be safe to update at any time. Please let me know if you experience any bugs.

Update 31/December/2023
- Additional options to hypnotise people, notably "your fellows shall fear me and despair" causes +100 respect and -50 morale to an entire community.
- Dialogue option to make entire community worship you (+100 approval +100 respect)
- Ritual circle can now be demolished, campfires can be fueled with essence instead of wood.
- Some minor additions and tweaks, can now conjure sunflowers with essence, blood seeker and infused bow weapons have increased accuracy.

Update 18/July/2023:
- Added dialogue options to curse people with various effects (I suggest cursing people into being kicked from their community via "your bonds are decimated" before cursing them with death so that you are not accused and attacked for murdering one of their community members).
- Multiple dialogue options to bless people with various positive effects.
- I am currently developing a dialogue option to reveal the names of *all* community members (it is not fully functional yet)
- Some new blood magic themed equipment including leg armor and the ability to create infected ammo for your blood magic weapons, several new blood magic weapons including a blood magic infused bow and some blood magic weapons intended for sniping enemies.
- Some minor tweaks to dialogue from this mod, eg. "You're really good looking!" changed to "You're looking great!" and added more variety to reactions to dialogue based on respect/approval/personality traits/etc.
- The "Ritual Circle" crafting station now has its own set of recipes that are no longer shared with the base game "Still" crafting station
- Red Talon Backpack had a major increase to the bonus carry capacity.

NEW DIALOGUE:
Adds a new dialogue tree "I want to let you know..." which features options for flirting, complimenting, criticising, and testing/accusing people of having the invisible strain. People will react differently depending on several factors such as personality traits, gender/attraction, respect/approval, infection, etc. When you successfully accuse people of having the invisible strain, they will turn and try to bite you, if you attack them before it's obvious they have turned, their community may attack you. Accuse at your own risk :)
18/07/2023 - I have added options for cursing people with various negative effects such as: making them despised by everyone, lowering the morale of their community members that they interact with, having them ostracised/kicked by their community, instant magical death, banishment, etc. There are also options for gifting/blessing people with various positive effects such as: increased morale, making everyone like them more, increasing their skill caps, etc. I have also added the ability to indoctrinate/hypnotise entire communities into loving or fearing you. (This is not balanced at all but that's not the point of the mod, the point is to have fun and play the game the way you want to!)

NEW RECIPES:
Human flesh can be used to create a ritual circle crafting station.
The ritual circle features recipes that allow you to extract the blood from human and zombie flesh for various purposes. You can create new blood magic themed weapons, transmute lifeless rabbits, or create the new ammo type called "volatile blood" which is the ammo used by some of the blood magic themed weapons.
You can also craft an item intended for endgame called "Essence" which functions similarly to mana once crafted. It can be used to conjure/construct a variety of things, manifest gold, mineable ore veins, etc. it is somewhat OP though so most of its functions are limited to lvl 5 skills.

WARNING:
Making offerings of human flesh may disturb your characters sensibilities and lower their happiness/sanity. I highly recommend constructing your ritual circle and performing your questionable practices in a private area. ;)

NEW EQUIPMENT:
A beating heart that serves/replaces the function of your hunting knife, when equipped, you can feel it beat excitedly when other creatures are nearby (increases your sight range) it can also be used to attack enemies from an extended distance. It is used as a main component in many blood magic themed recipes.
Blood volley: send out a volley of conjured blood arrows!
Blood spark: send out an explosion of kinetic sparks that inflict *blunt* damage on your enemies (great for knocking out npcs)
Arrow Splitter: Causes a single arrow to split into 13 arrows (great for duplicating ammo and killing things)
Blood infused bow: A bow with vastly increased range and accuracy
Blood Seeker Shot: sends out a single projectile of volatile blood, high range and accuracy (blunt damage).
Blood Seeker Arrow: sends out a single conjured blood arrow, high range and accuracy (piercing damage).
Blood clot fire bomb: self explanatory? It's a fire bomb!
Essence: Used to conjure a variety of things (no ritual circle required!) including ore veins, plants, food, etc.
Blood Sense: Significantly increases your range of sight, and gives +1 to your cooking skill :)
Blood Bulwark: protects your chest area like a bullet vest against all piercing/bleed damage (does not protect from blunt/fire damage)
Blood Bulwark (Hot): Same as Blood Bulwark but also keeps you warm! (provides insulation)
Blood Heal: stops bleeding and accelerates healing (essentially a high quality bandage, can be used on npcs but does not prompt npc dialogue without an actual bandage in your inventory.
Blooded Legs: Leg armor!
Blooded Legs (Hot): Leg armor with insulation.

In addition to the above, there's a small collection of other items inspired by State of Decay, such as the Red Talon Backpack (greatly increases carry capacity), RTX Cyclone gun, and zombeye (equipped to your glasses slot), I also added a "Psychokinetic Field" which acts as an invisible bulletproof vest. These can be spawned with the debug menu (Press F8 in game).

None of this mods equipment will spawn in with traders/NPCs or as loot, you will need to craft them into your game, or use the debug menu to spawn them in.

Wow this sounds like a really fun idea! Does this mod still work with the current version?

that's a fun idea to play with, there's a hug animation which could be used to force npcs to join your community (thralls) and hypnotism/charm could make for interesting dialogue to increase fear/respect/admiration. I probably won't work on that though as I'm currently playing other games, but might be fun to experiment with when I get back into this :)

This makes me wonder, what about vampires? Could probably have some cool interplay.

Hi, am gonna try this mod out. Wasn't expecting to find a mod quite like this, but I'm happy that there is, this is just up my alley. I for one, think the added items are best kept out of NPC hands, all that matters with mods like this imho is a steep and balanced effort/reward ratio. Thanks for making this mod ;)

10-4! I'll give that a go, thanks!

If you'd like specific items to appear on npcs, you can do a quick edit by hopping into the editor>(this mod)>edit equipment>(pick an item) and under "lootable from" you can select survivor and change "typical loot amount" to 1, this should have the equipment spawn on npcs in a new game and I think on any new npcs that arrive in an existing game. I'd recommend maybe reducing the # of projectiles or damage on the volley and spark weapons if you give them to npcs though, unless you want to get wrecked :sans:

Aaah, ok. Still, it is a rather neat mod.

Personally, I think that (seeing as this mod is all about this still) it would be cool to lean into it a bit - add the items as spawns, get NPCs using them as well.

It'd probably be (too?) hard for the player - maybe the items could be balanced to be less like "god items" and more like items that add a decent challenge for the player. I think it'd still be manageable, you'd just have to take on the NPCs wielding these items in more of a careful manner. Staying out of their line of sight, targeting their legs with the heart, etcetera.

Kind of a fun thought IMO. I'd a big fan of urban fantasy, it'd be pretty neat to see a mod that puts that kind of spin on the whole game world.

I think as far as crafting goes, npc's from other communities are scripted to cook and repair buildings only, I have also disabled loot spawns for all items in this mod so you shouldn't see any of it amongst npc communities (unless you trade it to them). The script that bothers characters is actually a script that exists in base game, it's tied to cooking/using human ingredients and activates when using recipes from this mod that include human flesh.

Can NPCs also do this stuff? That'd be rather interesting, maybe ones with certain personality traits (sociopath, amoral, immoral) aren't bothered by it and/or do it?
