JNR Class ED19 Electric Locomotive (R-BUS CAT3)

ED19 is an electric locomotive modified from ED53, operated by Japanese National Railways. It was imported from the USA, made by Westinghouse Electric and Baldwin in 1928 and modified in 1937. All ED53 has been modified to ED19 in 1941. ED19 was mainly used for freight service.


You can use following example to recreate Iida line cement tanker freight formation.

This locomotive is compatible with R-BUS CAT3. R-BUS is a train connection standard in Japanese community. Learn more at here. (Japanese)[wikiwiki.jp]
Auto Brake needs to use R-BUS compatible car to work.

1. Get into left side of the machine room.
   
2. Turn ON BAT. This will connect battery to power bus line.
   
3. Turn ON MOT. This will connect motor to power bus line.
   
4. Turn ON GEN. This will connect generator to power bus line.
   
5. Turn ON UTL BAT, This will connect utility battery to system bus line.
   
6. Turn ON UTL GEN, This will connect utility generator to system bus line.
   Turning Bypass to ON will connect power bus line to system bus line. Leave it to OFF unless you need it.
   
7. Turn Engine Master ON. Engine will automatically starts when battery charge drops to 0.9, and automatically shuts off when battery is fully charged.
   If you need to keep engine running, push Keep Engine ON.
   
8. Go back to the cabin.
   
9. Push Control from here to ON. Check You have control indicator lights up.
   
10. Reverser controls direction. set to 1 will move forward, -1 will move backward.
    
11. Throttle controls speed. Please increase it slowly.
    
12. Independent Brake controls brakes only on this car. Auto Brake controls brakes on all connected cars.
    
13. When you moved out from garage, set Pantograph to UP position.

ED19はED56を改造した電気機関車である。アメリカのウェスティングハウス・エレクトリック社とボールドウィン社の合作により1926年に製造され、日本に輸入された。その後1937年にED19へと改造された。

R-BUS CAT3対応です。Auto Brakeの動作にはR-BUS対応の車輌が必要です。詳しくはこちら[wikiwiki.jp]

1. 機関室左側に入ります。
   
2. BATをONにします。 バッテリーが電力バスに接続されます。
   
3. MOTをONにします。モーターが電力バスに接続されます。
   
4. GENをONにします。発電機が電力バスに接続されます。
   
5. UTL BATをONにします。システム用バッテリーがシステム電源バスに接続されます。
   
6. UTL GENをONにします。システム用発電機がシステム電源バスに接続されます。
   BypassをONにすると電力バスとシステム電源バスが接続されます。必要無い場合はOFFのままにしてください。
   
7. Engine Master ONをONにします。バッテリーが0.9まで低下すると自動的にエンジンが始動します。充電が完了すると自動で切れます。
   エンジンを動かしたままにしたい場合はKeep Engine ONをONにします。
   
8. 運転台に戻ります。
   
9. Control from hereをONにします。You have controlインジケータがつくのを確認してください。
   
10. Reverserで方向を制御します。1で前進、-1で後退します。
    
11. Throttleで速度を制御します。ゆっくり速度をあげてください。
    
12. Independent Brakeはこの車両のブレーキのみを動かします。Auto Brakeは接続された全車両のブレーキを動かします。
    
13. 車庫から出たらPantographを上げてください。
