Questionable Ethics Enhanced(USE MLIES VERSION)

Description
This is not an official fork, ifany past author asks me to take it down, I will. However, in the meantime, this at least lets qee work in 1.3

ATTENTION MLIE HAS ADOPTED THIS MOD. THIS LINK WILL TAKE YOU TO HIS.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2850854272

ATTENTION If there are bugs, I need information about it. My discord server has some further assistance(already solved issues) however, at minimum I need a log, or exact details to recreate the issue. Ideally the minimum mod list to cause the issue as well. Without anything the best I can do is ask for this information. Save us some time and get issues fixed quicker

Known issue with colored mood bars. Please use CM Colored mood bars if you choose to use one. Others may work, but they are the only one that I believe to do so. Before reporting any bug, I need to know if you are running any of them. There’s like five of them. I don’t know which ones work and which ones don’t.
There is also a known benign, as in harmless, error on startup about static constructor. This occurs regardless of other mods and mod load order. Patch is hopefully inbound, but its not harmful, so its not too high a priority.
This mod makes harvest everything redundant. I do not know a single thing added by them this mod does not add. This can and has created bugs in the game.
Known issue with recycle this. Bugs some recipes up

Likewise, I'm curious about possibly opening fan translations. I think I can set up translation capability pretty easily, but I'm definitely not bilingual. So, Id be curious if there was enough interest to justify the matter.

Choose your ethics, ideology support integrated. Precepts are implemented at least on a first pass basis. Nerve stapling now also can automatically knock out pawns with more violent thoughts...(Now with and without ideology) Nerve staple's enslave and max suppression. Now also allows brain scanning to copy pawn ideology.

According to WindowsXP it has to be loaded after alien races framework if that is active, and before any alien races themselves. My Working theory is cause my mod patches humanoid alien races and needs to them let the other mods load to patch them. May work so long as qee is after the races, however this is untested. If issues occur, please put this mod after humanoid alien races but before the races themselves.

Contains organ growing, organ extraction, animal/humanoid cloning, brain reprogramming... and all manner of ethically questionable stuff!

If you think that making human leather hats is too mundane, then this mod will spice things up.

* Grow organs in vats!
* Clone animals and humanoids! Clones have the traits and passions of their "parent".
* Scan brains to preserve the skill levels of a pawn! Apply any brain template to your clones, to get them up-to-speed fast.
* Recruit hostile pawns instantly with nerve stapling!
* Balance the mod as you wish, with the Mod Settings menu
* Enhancements to the original Questionable Ethics mod

Thanks to Mehni for getting me answers to the questions I needed to get this thing done.
Supports Alien Races out of the box. See the mod description page on Steam for more details.

Thanks. Good luck for you're side, on my end, largely poking at making a game myself these days.

Totally understandable for you to miss it if you played EPOE, not a lot of people even like the rejection mechanic in RBSE lol. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually like I said it *looks* like the old patch should work prob just a minor change from changing versions broke things. Honestly you have been the most helpful and understanding modder I've interacted with so far and I wish you the best of luck on any future projects you have!

Best of luck, and I can try to answer any other questions, its a nice trip down memory lane, but it might be a bit slow, and I can't promise anything. Doesn't mean I don't mind helping, its just I'm less sure how much I can.
Mario55770 [author] Apr 2, 2023 @ 7:28pm
Ah.

Well, shoot, if I'm honest I used epoe when I was playing, dwarf fortress sucked me back so its been a hot minute since I've played rimworld.

So unfortunately I can't inherently help too too much more, but my assumption is that the rot can be fixed by adding a patch operation to simply add the...I think its rottable comp but you should be able to double check it off either vanilla rottable foods or better yet, the rbse patch.

Just copy paste that, and have it apply it to qee organs, would be a passable fix I suspect.

As for organ rejection...I'm less sure, but a similar technique may help.

Oh shit! Thank you so much for digging through that for me! Unfortunately RBSE only partially works with QEE. There are no issues with the stomach replacement that I know of but without the patch the QEE organs don't rot when not frozen and in RBSE there is an organic rejection system that the patch added that to all QEE organs, the patch worked fine in 1.2 but for some reason the patch doesn't work on latter versions. It looks like it should work but I'm a massive novice when it comes to this stuff. Thank you and again!
Mario55770 [author] Apr 1, 2023 @ 3:55pm
Right! Looking at old conversations I had with the mod, I believe both qee,and RBSE modified the stomach surgery, and so, as the recipe no longer existed, we conflicted.

The easiest solution was, curiously enough, I believe, just ignoring RBSE and ditching the patch. To my understanding, it somehow fixed it.

I couldn't tell you *WHY* anymore, but I'm poking through chatlogs in the discord linked somewhere above, so results are hazy.
Mario55770 [author] Apr 1, 2023 @ 3:52pm
Right. Looking at it, even digging through my poor git history, I uh, wasn't the best at meaningful commits, I'd suspect I found the patch either unneeded, as I hazily remember it patching a second stomach in or something, so I came to the conclusion that they implemented everything correct enough that it worked, or alternatively, I couldn't make it work at all.

Does the mod work with RBSE at all?
Mario55770 [author] Apr 1, 2023 @ 3:45pm
Oh, shoot. Let me see if I can help though, but yeah I'm unsure off the top my head.
Yolsos Mar 30, 2023 @ 9:43pm
Yeah I was asking Mlie actually lol. Thank you though, I appreciate the reply.
