Larger Ore Veins and Geysers (x3)

Description
This is not another yield adjustment mod!
(But as it changes the same file it is not compatible with them either.)

What this mod does is increase the Vein Size of the ore fields. The yield, speed, rarity, etc. are all unchanged. This is to keep the game balanced as the developers intended but provide larger ore volume without going into the ridiculous "Lots and Lots" settings. It does so in a way that makes setting up expensive and time consuming autominers worthwhile. With much larger ore veins it actually makes sense to setup a mining outpost rather than continually jog around grabbing small pockets of ore.
Additionally this increases the Geyser sizes as well.

Can anyone please confirm for me that this mod is still working as intended with the new update?
If not please let me know what is wrong so I can fix it ASAP for you.
Also, if you have any requests on changes/adjustments or any other feedback is greatly appreciated.

No worries. I'm aware of the method used and the time frame involved as I make similar modifications privately.
If you're not aware, with the latest update, the way mineables and worlds are handled have changed a bit, so an overhaul might be a little more involved than before.
Good luck with getting your PC together!

When this mod was created Nitrice didn't exist ingame. This mod essentially reproduces the base files of the game with modification, so it makes sense that it would cause the newer ore to not spawn. It should be a relatively easy fix by just recreating the modifications in an up-to-date version of the game files. I will get to it as soon as time permits. Thank you for pointing it out to me. I have been without a PC (or time to really use it) for a couple months but have built a new one so I should be able to start catching up with updating mods.

@Annastasya - If you're still maintaining this, as PhlippB mentioned, Nitrice isn't defined in your 'mineables', so does not spawn.

Does this mod stop Nitrice from being deposited? I'm not finding any on my worlds when this mod is enabled.

I don't recall the exact number without checking but I believe the increase was x3 for veins, And yes it is all veins and geysers. They are simply larger clusters of ore. As stated no other changes were made, at all. Period.

Hi, you MOD seems like something I was looking for.
Can you specify more details about this mod?
1. You changed vein sizes. Is it for all ores?
2. How much bigger veins there would be? 10x ?
3. Have you also reduced, how many veins would be generated? (like divided by 10?) Because I am expecting, withouth this change, there would be plenty of ores everywhere.

What I would like to have is to have very few spots where veins are, but those should be huge.
I like to spend long time (like few in-game days) to find specific ore vein under the surface, but after finding it, there should be plenty of ore for in-game weeks to mine, so I can build separate mining base there with beacon, and re-suply stuffm, auto-miners and etc.

Thanks and have a nice day.

ok thanks for the info, I would test on a new map.

@Sckalpe: To use a mod that changes the ore vein values, you need to start a new game. Once the Map is created and the veins are established those voxels are set and only changeable through save editing or ingame terrain manipulation.

you put in in a new world or one already built?
