Overview
Veil of Ruin is an immersive gaming experience designed to give you hours of unique and ever-changing enjoyment. Thanks to Veil of Ruin’s quick setup and simple, yet intricate combat and dungeon crawling systems, you and your friends can go from opening the box to slaying monsters within minutes. Venture into the dangerous, dying jungles of Orman, taking on the persona of one of our six unique Heroes as they fight their way through a myriad of Enemies.

Gameplay
Veil of Ruin features three modes, Skirmish, Into the Jungle and PVP.

Skirmish games are a cooperative one time experience for 1-4 players that take between 45 minutes and 2 hours. Select the difficulty, pick the monsters you are fighting, draft your deck, get some equipment and then fight!

A more intense experience is our Into the Jungle mode, a rogue-like adventure designed with replayability in mind. Each cooperative session for between 1-4 players takes between 2 and 5 hours, players draft cards, gain items and other loot as they progress through the jungles of Orman.

PVP is best played once you have a good understanding of the flow of gameplay. With a few tweaks of the rules 2-4 players can battle one another to determine who is the champion of the jungle.

Demo
This demo showcases the gameplay of Veil of Ruin but is only a fraction of the content which will be included with the full game. The full game will include more classes, a randomly generated roguelike map which changes with every playthrough, companions, quests, more combat cards for each class, more items and more enemies.

Hope you enjoy our Demo and stay tuned for our Kickstarter coming late 2022!

We just finished playing the demo with a dev, it was an awesome experience! We will definitely be back to play more and purchase the Kickstarter when able. Our dev assistant @VOR-Xandor did a great job, made us feel welcome, was patient with new players and explained the game well! This is going to be an exciting game, give it a try for sure. Thanks again.

PS, be sure to join the discord and schedule the demo experience with a dev, great time.

Just finished playing the game demo and honestly it was fun. Would love to play the completed game with my family and friends once it comes out. The Dev host was very helpful in explaining the game and all the symbols which can be confusing at first, but once you learn the symbols, it's pretty straight forward especially if you have played RPG board games before. I like the different class types too. All seem unique and have different synergy. It does have a PvP aspect to the game which can be fun for those who are competitive but, It is definitely more so a team based game which I prefer (CO-OP PvE). I'm also interested in trying their story mode next time. Overall, I had an entertaining and fun time playing this game. I look forward to playing it again.
Thanks for the experience.

Met one of the devs on Discord and they gave me and my partner a demonstration of the game. It's quite good and the artwork/aesthetic of the game is gorgeous. The comparisons I'm seeing to Slay the Spire are referring to the way enemies take combat turns. The choices you make on your own attack phase will create different but known outcomes from the enemies attack phase. You are ultimately in control outside of dice roll bonus damage that can really sting if you're unlucky. Even still, the combat never felt decided by RNG which feels good.

The themes/play-styles of the individual heroes is well-done and they were designed thoughtfully to promote cooperation between players as they determine their card choices and attacking order. I'm only two encounters deep at the moment, but the status ailments and status effects feel pretty well balanced and incorporated into combat...
