What I'm trying to achieve with this mod is to make a pretty boring faction Sartosa a little bit more interesting, without changing them massively or making them insanely op, and hopefully keeping it feeling as vanilla as possible


New Skills and Tweaks:

For now I have made small tweaks to Aranessa Saltspites skills with small buffs here and there, the biggest bug is a buff to Rotting Leviathans and Rotting Prometheans which increases the missile resistance a bit more so they become a bit more viable

the second thing i did with the skill tree was to add some more skills to make her feel a bit more unique, the skills can be seen in the pictures above


New Unit:

I have also added a new unit variant exclusively for this faction, which functions a lot like the exclusive units she already has, its added to create a little variety, and is also a bit stronger than the already existing ones.

will this be added in warhammer 3? cause having human gunners for sartosa is good

For some reason the AI absolutely HATES the handgunner units and goes out of its way to damage them.
They will always take priority when it comes to enemy arty or spells. Really strange.

Hey @MathiAwesomE! I saw your last comment and i think you are doing a great job with this little mod! great!.
After i spend a few hours trying this unit, can i say a pair of things to spice a little up and make this mod a must to even force CA to listen us?

Mkay, here we go:

1: Add weapon missile dmg to all ranged sartosan units in her unique perks.

2: Add the 3 sartosan units to the elite red line at least to make them worth.

3: The same with the tech: every tech the gunner mob benefit it, the sartosan units should too.

4: The problem here is not reaally Aranessa, she doesnt need more dmg or something like that, id recommend a little nerf to speed (-10%) and melee (-5) and is perfect.

5: Oh and make the custom unit a t3 unit! the empire have gunners at T3, i dont think smelly,ugly pirates can access weapons before the manufacturer, dont you think?

@Boalition They don't get any boost from the red tree, nor from any tech's as far as I'm aware

They are though considered infantry so will get the appropriate buffs if that is stated, the militia units are considered missile infantry and can get buffed by an Gunnery Wight

I considered putting them in the red tree somewhere, but no place really felt right, besides Aranessa already buffs them up quite a bit

@Mortarch of Blood Making a human pirate faction was pretty much my first modding idea for this game! It's certainly something I will have a go at in the future :)
