Orcas Island

Description
A limited build area map with potential for additional space via landscaping, this map is based off most of Orcas Island in Washington State, USA.

Base Map Theme: Boreal
Custom User Theme: Cedar Valley 4k
Trees: 255,000-ish

Because the map doesn't encompass the entire Island as it is in the real world, the map has a Highway connection on the left edge that loops up and around the large bay, then back down to the start Tile where it dead ends. I've also included three separate Rail connections in different locations of the map that dead end just off the edge. I left them that way so the player can draw them however they'd like. There's also a Shipping lane along the north shore as well as a southern lane that travels up the bay and dead ends for any Harbors that are built there.

I tried being a little more generous with Resource placement than my last map, though the main Industry types base on availability would be Forestry of course, and Ore, with some Fertile land and Oil scattered about.

This was a spur of the moment inspiration and got excited to share, but because of that I only worked on it for a couple days. I hope it's okay enough to play on.

@Minnvin I'm not sure, there shouldn't be any custom assets used in the map. Do you get the same error when trying to load a new game with any other map?

Note: I don't know why it happened, but all (i think all) of the props I placed down in the editor have become bugged to where in a new game load, they all begin to de-render when looking at them up close as well as at certain camera angles. They also don't respond to the Move-It! mod, however Props placed while in-game seem to be fine and normal.

Refer to this video what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra62m1f5FG0

@Minnvin I just loaded a new game with the map and the Highway is still there, it just dead ends into the Start Tile. You can easily connect to the ends with one way roads or create your own junctions.

there is no road to connect to

@SanditeSpartan117 Try this, https://cs.heightmap.skydark.pl/

It's an alternative I found that someone made, and it does a pretty good job. Tip, fiddle with the settings under the round 'i' icon at the top left above the download button. If you're doing a map with an ocean or large lake, set the "Below sea level:" value to something around 50, instead of the default 5, that way it'll give you more depth under the waterline and let your water be deeper.

I’ve been to Orcas Island, it’s very beautiful there! But all of the San Juan Islands are equally as beautiful. I’m happy to see a recreation of them on here and you did a bang up good job! Just out of curiosity, how or where did you manage to get a height map that works? terrain.party isn’t working anymore.

Map's been updated so there's no trees or bushes underneath the Highway, so if you have the unhide setting in Prop Anarchy enabled there shouldn't be any there.

Also Unlimited Trees is now a necessity since I added a bit more.
