Bug Cracks

Beskrivelse
Display cracks bellow overhead mountain.

The story goes that the deep mountain rock is very weak from all the bugs living inside.
If you see a crack on your floor, that means the infestation can spawn!
You can't even build any floor without it loosing the stability and cracking!

Or at least that's the lore of this mod.

Otherwise it is a simple visual aid to help plan around possible infestations without switching on the roof overlay.

This mod does not modify infestations or bugs. It shows cracks on the floor or walls bellow any "overhead mountain" (thick) roof.

Settings for terrain:
- Show cracks on burnables (which is unchecked by default). So, you can hide those cracks under the carpet, wood or hay at your own risk.
- Show cracks on sterile tiles (default checked). Even the sterile tiles are not stable deep inside a mountain. However, the cracks are thinner.
- Show cracks on shallow water (default checked). Cracks are not visible in the deep water, but can still be seen in shallows if this checkbox is ticked.

Settings for wall:
- Show cracks on walls (default true). Small thin cracks are displayed on walls if deconstructing them would reveal overhead mountain.
- Show cracks on rock walls (default true). Cracks are visible on rock walls if mining them would reveal overhead mountain.

To change color of overhead mountain tiles in roof overlay, install Roof Overlay Settings mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2526879387

Compatibility:
Should be compatible with pretty much anything, because the mod only adds a visual layer. If some mods cause cracks to appear where they shouldn't, let me know.

Special implementations for mods:
- Compatible with Simply More Bridges (Continued): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2012484790
- Compatible with Armored Floors (RimWorld <= 1.2): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2011863224

Save file compatibility
The mod can be enabled/disabled as needed, again, it adds only a visual layer.

Performance concerns
The mod adds a few dozen of small textures. This should mainly affect load times and GPU memory. The crack placement is recalculated when the related terrain section is modified.

Yeah I could look at the logs even though the steam auto-hid the post (likely because it contained a link to a zip file).
It looks like you have outdated mod version for some reason. I have simply bumped the version to 1.4.2 and uploaded it again. Try to unsubscribe/resubscribe.

Just started a discussion with my information. Let me know if that works.

I understand. I'll do some more in-depth testing today and get back to you :steamthumbsup:

@mkvltra Sorry, I can't reproduce the issue. Enter dev mode and make sure you get no errors in log (that you can open with ~) from other mods. If you do, you will need to sort that out first. Or, try to reproduce this issue with no other mods but this one, and get back to me if the issue still exists.

@mkvltra obviously I would not have published it if I have noticed such an issue. Can you share a screenshot? Is it completely gray? Which DLCs are you using? Is it a new game or existing save (should work regardless)?

Entire screen is gray when using this mod :steamsad:

@DragonKing lDCCl
You can force-refresh the tiles by toggling any of the mod options.
