How to get stuck at Blast Pit

A Comprehensive Guide on how to Get Yourself Stuck in Blast Pit

Introduction

Hello, In this guide, i will provide a foolproof strategy to get stuck in Blast Pit. This strategy comes from personal experience.

Getting started

The First Step is to Own a copy of Half-Life. This is an important step, for if you do not own Half-Life, you will not be able to get stuck in Blast Pit.

Once you obtain a copy of Half-Life, the next step is unbinding left. This is a Right-only community. If Going left is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, 3 Rights will suffice.

Step 3 is Starting The Game. This can be achieved by pressing "New Game" on the Title screen.

Getting in Position

Step 4 is playing through the game until you arrive at Blast Pit. More Specifically, the Missile Silo. It is here where we will Trap Ourselves.

Step 5 is Getting to the Bottom of the Silo. The easiest way to do this is to throw a grenade to the bottom of the silo with the grenade bind. (By Default, this is 5, click to select after pressing).
Throw the grenade and hold ctrl. This is done as to not alert the Tentacles again since they have moved to inspect the grenade's sound.

Now you want to do some mid-air strafing to jump down to each level without taking lethal damage. After each jump, throw a grenade to re-distract the Tentacles.

Once you are at the bottom, you can move on to the next section.

Getting Inventory Sorted

Step 6: Clear out your inventory of ALL grenades and Ammo.

once this step is sorted, Save your game and delete all other saves.

Forgetting how to restart

Step 7: Lobotomize yourself as to forget the way in which you restart the game and walking. If done successfully, you will be stuck at the bottom of Blast Pit with no way back up.

End

You are now stuck in Blast Pit, with no way out. hope this helped!

I got glued to a wall near the Fuel room, I had to turn on sv_cheats 1 because I was jumping to close to the wall during a loading sequence.

Problem found: I made it back up

you can sort of change the tentacles aggro spot with regular gunshots if you keep a careful eye on where they're aimed
