Skimt's SolarMap Mod

Description
Version: 1.0
Author: Skimt
Date: May 30 2021

Description
The solar map will project the world coordinates of planets and the grid unto a text panel in the form of a 2D map, along with detailed information regarding planets and moons.

Features
  • Multiple Screens:
    • Solar system map with information panel.
    • Solar system map without information panel.
    • Information panel without solar system map.
    • Planetary map with information panel and grid arrow.
  • Automatically detects distance from planets, planet radius, atmosphere, oxygen and ores.
  • Automatically hides overlapping planets depending on grid distance.
  • The grid's position in the world appears as red dot on the map.

Disclaimer
The SolarMap Mod should in theory detect custom planets, including some custom ores, but the mod is originally created for the "Star System" world and original ores. Moons are only visible on the planetary map. Currently does not work in cockpits.

Unfortunately the info panel readout is so small w/ many planets its unable to be read :(

It's probably broken (sorry). Last I heard, only asteroids have uranium. I can't recall what I did, but I think it reads the texture files of each planet, but those files aren't a valid way of determining the contents of planets anymore.

How does this mod determine what planets have what ores? I'm on default Planet 26 and its saying there is Uranium yet I cant find it

My bad I'ts actually a 3x3 but still. heres what I mean over is the 3x3 and down on the right is a smaller version but its just so small on that screen, it doesnt have enough pixles to make readable text.

Just something that might be nice: I have an "ssg random 24 U" generated world(vanilla and modded planets/moons) and Everything works fine except that all the info screens are so packed the text is hard to read on a less than 5x3 LCD from one of the mods/dlc. Would it add too much extra work to add Scrolling text, Font sizes, or just something so it could work somewhere smaller?

mod appears to be broken as of now, looks pretty damn cool though

Good evening, a player just noticed that Triton has a moon according to the map. I'm fairly certain it doesn't in the vanilla star system. thank you.

@caffeinix - I'd also be interested in your modification :)

i'm someone in king matt's server with the problem he mentioned, i don't know if this is possible or not but adding the option to make the planet display smaller would work amazingly, even making this work with a holo table to show all the locations using dots of some sort if not show the planet it's self. like he said, thanks for your contribution as this mod is amazing to use in most situations.

Adding to the discussion - Aren't the default moons 19km in size?

What I came here for: Will this work out of the box for a handmade solar system? I have about 31 "orbital bodies" that are as far as 35,000km from the center in my server and it appears the solar map is cluttering them all up on the display.

Also want to say thanks for this mod! Surprised it isnt somehow in vanilla but I imagine it is a lot of coding work. Thank you for your contribution :)
