More stalwart and powerful than even the demigryphs they ride, knights armed with an RPG-7 can deliver a monstrous blast into enemy battle lines.

Ever wanted a higher tier unit to have after outriders? Think demigryph knights are cool? Like explosions? I combined all of these into a new unit: the Demigryph Knight (RPG-7).

They are essentially outriders armed with a rocket launcher instead of grenades, and mounted on demigryphs. I won't lie and call them balanced, but I tried to keep it reasonable so they would still be a good mix of fun.

Recruitable while playing as the empire from the tier 4 Stables (Menagerie), with the secondary requirement of having the tier 5 Forges (Engineer's Workshop).

Made by combining elements and animations from a few different units in the base game. I have zero 3D modeling / animation experience and I had to make do through basically trial and error, so the animations aren't perfect, but they are passable and about as good as I could get them without the riders t-posing, flying around or the game outright crashing.

There shouldn't be any incompatibilities, as I tried to make everything have a unique name and mostly use unique versions of base game files. It is compatible with new and current saves, but a save without any recruited must be loaded when uninstalling.

I am rather new at this so please let me know if you find anything major.

Man, we need to make this mod work right. For now this mod retextures Demigryphs with halberds - their animations work rights but them cant shoot - its halberd unit, then we have unit of RPG-demygryph with T-pose of riders, they can shoot, but looks weird. I think problem with animation bin. You used halberd animation as basis, so what have you changed? We could work it out.

Hey there, sorry that I haven't been able to play WH2 or test this for quite some time. Unfortunately anything to do with the models and animations was the most complicated part of getting this to work, and I won't have the time to fix anything in the short run if it's no longer working.

I will leave the mod up and hopefully come back to it at some point (or port it to WH3 eventually).

eaa nerfs/bugs demigrifff charges. demigriff adapt by standing back and launching da bazooks :D

Amazing unit, used it to great effect cleansing the heretics.
Not sure if it's just me but seeing an animation glitch with the cavalry man stuck in "standing" position

This is a very good mod, but I wonder that you didn't give this unit the abillity siege attacker, because they use hellstorm rockets like the hellstorm rocket battery?! :steamhappy:
