Yu-Gi-Oh-No! - A League of Legends Drinking Game

Description
A League of Legends drinking game in a modified Yu-Gi-Oh format. All custom rules are explained here.

Welcome to Yu-Gi-Oh-No!
a Yu-Gi-Oh fangame with drinking game elements, merged with League of Legends characters and environments.

At its core, the game follows the old rules of the card game Yu-Gi-Oh. Players draw cards from their deck and try to reduce their opponent's life points with attacks from hero cards. These can themselves have effects that influence the game. At the same time, they try to control the game with spell and trap cards and strengthen and protect their heroes. Powerful synergies of similar heroes create an advantage. The player who first reduces the opponent's life points to 0 wins.

An evening of drink
Drinking games are mainly found at parties. Yu-Gi-Oh-No is meant to serve as an alternative for a quiet evening for two (or three, or even more!) where you still want to keep the competitive drinking game factor. Nevertheless, there are enough cards that don't make use of this approach, so the game can be played without any alcohol.

The current set consists of 1000 cards. The independently designed rulebook for it covers the most important aspects of the game, especially for newcomers. Old Yu-Gi-Oh veterans should still familiarize themselves with the card types and rules for playing, as many of the original Yu-Gi-Oh's game mechanics have been changed.
The rulebook, in the form of a Steam Guide can be found here!

Feel free to ask questions in the forum
The Steam Guide is quite complex, but still there can always be questions regarding the game. Just ask them here in the Workshop Item discussions and I'll try to answer them as soon as possible.

Frequently asked questions

How long did it take you to make all this?
I created the first cards in July 2018 and gradually kept adding new ones or editing old ones.

Does it work the same way as regular Yu-Gi-Oh?
Actually, yes. At least the same as the old, 2003 Yu-Gi-Oh. The "new" summons and areas do not exist here. In addition, I added some small changes, so it's not 1:1 Yu-Gi-Oh and you should definitely take a look at the rule book.

How did you create the cards?
With the Magic Set Editor and a HQ Yu-Gi-Oh template.

What is the best card?
There are so many different combinations and counters that there is no real universal "best card". However, the many playtests have shown that "The Heart of Cards" is by far the most popular. Personally, I think the effect of "Shockblade Zed" is nice, because it's absolutely essential for an "Ionia" Deck.

Do I have to read through all the cards?
Would be helpful. Generally, Hero Cards that share the same Origin have synergy with each other.

Are there other languages available?
Yes! The entire game is also available in German.

The game table used is YuGiOh Worldwide Edition by user Inkk.

Hey there! Starting off, LOVE THIS IDEA and my friends thought it was funny and a fun game to play because we are heavy in league. I do have a few problems though and correct me if I'm wrong. I see the fusion and synchro and there's no "cost" for them. are they just "effect monsters" to just play or are they really synchro and fusion monsters that needs cost or need other cards to pay the cost to summon? Because, playing yugioh for years and I'm stuck on the yugioh rules lol so that's why I'm asking.

definitely! I plan to rework some of the cards and then create some Starter Decks just like I did in the German version.

There is! All you have to do is right click your deck once its finished and click Save Object. You can then spawn all your saved decks from the object menu.

If you're playing a game with friends, the host has to promote all players before they can spawn their own saved objects.

im checking out the cards right now thinking about a deck and was wondering is there a way to save your deck when you are done? or do you put it together before each game?

@Colossus
That's weird. I've checked the files and they're all uploaded to the cloud and available online. I'd therefore rule out an error on my end. Try disabling Mod Caching and Mod Threading in the Ingame settings Configuration -> Game
