Description


Does the Outpost feel a bit tiny? A bit less grand than you might've expected? Do you, perhaps, wish it didn't have a massive set of ancient ruins tacked onto it? Boy, you're sure gonna love this one, then.

One of my largest mods for Starbound yet, Anom's Outpost Overhaul has all your quarrels with the vanilla Outpost covered. Probably. I spent a very long time working on this mod. Planning started long before I had even made my first mod, but I finally began to actually work on it following the release of Less Dead Moons. Granted, a lot of that time was spent working on Fallout 4 mods, but, still.

The Outpost has been entirely redesigned from the ground up, based on my own personal tastes. Things have been moved around, the entire building has been redone, there's several new features scattered across local, and there's even some custom content. I'm very proud of the work I've managed here, and after the years it's been sitting on the back-burner, I'm happy to finally get to share it with you.

Keep in mind that if you're using this mod on an existing universe, you will need to either return to the Lush Planet Gate, or use the command "/warp instanceworld:monolith" to reach the Ark Ruins. Don't worry about this issue on newer games with fresh universes. While a bookmark to the Outpost should automatically be added upon meeting Esther, you can also access the Outpost from the Ark Teleporter.

  • Raiizy, for providing the three guns and the sprite of the sword, allowing for the Outpost Guard to have some unique weaponry in their arsenal.

  • Pixelflame, for creating the third, repaired stage of the landed ship just outside Pete's Junkyard, as well as making the collectable teddy bear in the mines.

  • Dyalt, for allowing me to use a sword's activeitem file to create the Outpost Sword with Raiizy's sprite, as I didn't want to do it on my own, as well as providing the Peng Pick sprite.

  • Windtalkers, for advising me on some design ideas, such as the background wall of the teleporter room and the Ark Ruins teleporter structure. Amazing builder, they are.

  • Silver Sokolva, for providing the beta files used as a base for the Ark, as well as reminding me that the ID was in need of change for the Outpost's Main Teleporter.

  • patman, Nebulox, and VoidEyeGaming for assisting with the Main Outpost Teleporter's lua.

  • Sky's Outpost Plus for inspiring this entire mod. I knew if they could do it, I could.

  • Vanake14 for inspiring the inclusion of a Pet Healing Station.

lofty_irisil_fixoutpostteleporter, so it's the irisil mod. i'll see about including a fix for that in the existing patch, i wasn't aware the mod had updated.

esther still shows up on my end. i can't help you unless you go to the ark (with esther not appearing) and then send me a copy of your latest log to see why she's failing to load in.

that mod doesn't touch either outpost.json or universeflags.config, so i'm pretty sure that's not the one causing that issue. are you using osb? if you warp to the outpost, it'll list out the names of ever dungeon being placed. i could investigate from there.

It seems that FU Story Tweaks forcefully spawns the teleporter section of the ruin (above the ship)
Which is a shame.
any recommendation on figuring out a way to patch it out?

just me or is esther not even there with this mod i removed it because i couldnt even continue the story

it doesn't touch that npc, only slightly moves their spawn. byos will work without issue
