Description
Moving only a bit forward in time, we are completing the Mesozoic with a collection of saltwater animals from the Cretaceous. With your help, we can complete our studies and bring back these ancient animals.

The focus of this collection is on the Western Interior Seaway at the Niobrara Formation, between 82 and 92 million years ago. Running from the Arctic Circle to the Gulf of Mexico, this shallow muddy bottomed sea was home to many large fish and marine reptiles. Warm water from the south and cold water from the pole converged here and the murky waters along the bay created conditions that would help many of the locals survive later in deeper environments.

This collection is intended for moderately experienced aquariums, with a minimum of rank 5 as well as observational data.

Animals under study:
Baculites sp
Bananogmius ellisensis
Bonnerichthys gladius
Dallasaurus turneri
Dolichorhynchops osborni
Elasmosaurus platyurus
Enchodus petrosus
Enchoteuthis melanae
Eonatator sternbergii
Inoceramus sp
Leptecodon rectus
Micropycnodon kansasensis
Omosoma garretti
Protostega gigas
Saurodon leanus
Scapanorhynchus raphiodon

A big thanks to SynchroLight for the use of animal models and rigs, Paleodude for animation tips, Amelia Zietlow for anatomical confirmation of a model and a thanks to everyone for their kind words and support through all of this!

Is it normal that enchodus gives eco points instead of science points?

I don't intend to go back and add new animals to previous era packs, but if you'd like to put Kaprosuchus on my mod collection's suggestions thread I may make it eventually. I'm taking a hiatus at the moment and have a number of other mods planned before I'd be making a pseudosuchian pack

Capro? If you mean Kaprosuchus, that is because it isn't saltwater, from the area or time this collection is set in and would have needed to be a exhibit animal
capivara May 19, 2021 @ 3:31pm
why no capro?
