Description
Finally got around to making this workshop-worthy

The purpose of this addon is to reduce server entity counts and client draw calls by converting selections of props into one rendered model. It does not generate a collision mesh or hitbox.

These entities can have multiple mesh "controllers", each of which control properties such as material and color.

Basic usage is as follows:

step 1: left click with the tool to spawn an entity

step 2: right click that entity to select it

step 3: select props by right clicking them (or shift right click to area filter select)

step 4: hover on spawned entity with the first option selected to add a controller *

step 5: right click with the desired controller highlighted

* alternatively, you can hold shift and left click to automatically add controllers for each color/material pair


You can then use the color, material (and colormater) and remover tools on the entity in the same way.

Selectable entities currently include props (with visclip and resizer support), holograms (wiremod and starfall), and legacy p2m controllers from before this major update.

P2M freezing players on server when updating visleaf / refreshing client.

every time i load into a server with several meshes they load incredibly slowly without actually loading.. everything that uses the meshes my game tried rendering simply stay invisible.. maybe a "refresh meshes" button could be useful to fix this?

you need to press the enter key in the text boxes, the color of the text should change to indicate an upload pending confirmation

I loaded a few objs that came out just fine in game, however any attempt I make to scale them is not working. I tried adjusting the scale values on the controller and on the attached models, but neither did anything to change the final scale.

also there seems to be an increasing issue of models getting stuck loading when removed or something else is causing it, could you include a console command to refresh the download list

could we get a command to reset client side downloads as some models that are deleted midway download can get stuck and after that you are required to rejoin to fix that

No, everything being placed was originally props, happens in multiplayer as well as singleplayer. Its not common but it happens often enough to be annoyed by it
