Vanilla Social Interactions Expanded means to bring much more needed life to your pawns and interactions they have. This mod alters what pawns do in their spare time, puts some extra emphasis on relations tab and adds many mechanics that breathe fresh air into otherwise boring and stale game. Pawns now also have aspirations that can be fulfilled to gain powerful mood buffs, and the whole inspiration system is also changed.

Many new mechanics are added and each of them can be individually disabled if you dislike it, through the power of mod options. We are constantly looking to improve, so if you have any feedback, don’t hesitate to leave a comment and let us know!

We spent a lot of time working on this mod and even more time testing it, but if there are any issues you encounter, please make your way to the Known Issues section for instructions what to do.

Q: Is this mod compatible with Combat Extended?
A: Should be, I hope.

Q: I dislike X mechanic, can I disable it?
A: Yes, mod options.

Q: Do I need Vanilla Expanded framework for this to work?
A: Absolutely.

Q: Does this mod work with Psychology/other mods that change pawn traits etc?
A: Yes, they should.

Q: Can I add it to an ongoing save? Can I remove it?
A: Yes, you can add it whenever you like, however bear in mind removing a mod from an ongoing save is bad practice and can result in save corruption. Always back up your saves when adding new mods!

Q: Does this work with other mods changing inspirations?
A: If another mod changes vanilla inspirations, chances are our mod will be incompatible.

I really love this mod but something is throwing tons of errors resulting in the game performance being unplayable whenever raid type enemies begin to move towards my base. Performance is fine whenever raiders are not actually attacking yet. In fact, once I am able to engage them my performance gets better which I'm aware shouldn't be the case. I see this once or twice among all the yellow, "VanillaSocialInteractionsExpanded.RaidGroup:ExposeData ()." And this is literally everything else in yellow, "Trying to save reference to a discarded thing *insert random thing or person* with saveDestroyedThings=true." Hasn't started happening until recently and no new mods added. It's happening anytime attackers are making their way to my killbox which really sucks. Like 20tps till we get to shooting each other. Lag even comes back if they disengage for a sec

does this mod cause a standing issue? ever since i got this mod some pawns when going to bed will just stand next to the bed and it gives me like a "somebody tried to do 10 of something" in the dev log and it then just holds them there forever.

i think this mod is stoping raid spawns, in the log alot of yellow appears and social expanded is the only thing is appearing with raidspawns

Actually, no, you can't disable the inspirations. I set the inspirations to the "X" and it doesn't let me leave the menu until I turn it back on. I manually go and turn inspirations off in the config files, and even though the game says inspirations are off, I STILL get nonsense like inspired planting and it still says things like "X would like to perform a surgery" when I get inspired surgery, but the inspiration doesn't go away when I tell them to do surgery just to get rid of the worthless garbage inspiration.
