Description
Presenting the KM12300
The Kahrstrom Marine 12300 is part of the next generation of heavy duty marine diesel engines. Being the top of the line in the 300-series of Kahrstrom Marine engines, the KM12300 is the definite option for those who look for unmatched, raw power - combined with the distinctive fuel efficiency, reliability and low maintenance costs that sets Kahrstrom Marine engines apart from the rest. When you need all you can get, you get a Kahrstrom Marine 12300.

Technical Specifications
Engine type: Twin turbo diesel V12
Measurements (including sub-systems): 8.5x2.25x3.25m (length, width, height)
Weight: 1909kg
Price: $21982

Set-up
  • Load your own vehicle. Use the grid selection tool to load and paste in the engine. Merge the base part of the engine with your vehicle. Note that the engine will spin to its normal position when spawned in.
  • Connect air (white funnel), exhaust (grey funnel), fuel (grey pipe in front), coolant (directly to sea, found underneath) and move the throttle where you want it. Last but not least, remember to hook up and adjust the gearbox. I recommend running it at as high of a ratio as possible.
  • Start the engine by turning the key and then holding the ignition button until the engine reaches 120RPM and runs on its own.

A huge thanks to WH1T3_No1SE for letting me use his modular engine microcontroller <3

You may use this in your workshop creations as long as you credit me and link this page. You may NOT upload this creation at its own.

Too little power or too large to fit?

This is a rather old engine, so it's quite outdated and doesn't work as well as some of my newer engines.

i am very confused because this engine produces as much power as one of your engines wich has only 6 cylinders

Thank you!

yep anyhow it looks really good mate and as i'm trying to build a ship that's ain't running on a gas-turbine, it somehow got me here but hell it looks really good, have fun and keep up the really amazing work

Yes, I've noticed that as well. I think it's the initial reading of the AFR that's messed up or something. Quite frankly, I can't be arsed looking into it any more, it's too much effort to try and fix something that is a game bug. Modulars are a pain to get running properly, so many weird little things you gotta think of, bugs that appear, as well as undocumented features and changes.

well i'm not sure tho after i got it running i was able to turn it back on and it worked fine

Yes, it's an issue I've noticed with all modular engines I've made so far - really not sure what's causing it. It's like the MC can't read the AFR values, they all say 0 on the cylinders... I think it's a bug, or possibly an issue with the specific MC I'm using.

A small thing is that it don't seem to work with infinite fuel on

Yeah, at high load it's extremely hard to keep modulars cool. They really need to fix it... Try spamming out some more heat exchangers. It can be cooled, but it'll take a lot of coolers.

i took 2 of them, put them next to each other and made a v12 twin luxary speed boat with 2 giant props, runs at a pretty decent speed its just i cant keep them cool
