Description


Description:
Add special uniforms with an advanced camo system that scans the ground texture and replicates it on the surface of the suit. It works on any map of the game, the BI ones and all those of the workshop. With this suit you will be less visible to other players (works in Multi-player) and less visible to AIs and NPCs (increases the stealth coefficient)

Very important!!
The activation mechanism of the suit has changed. I had already anticipated it in a message that I left in the comments of when in my country it was May 26, 2021 at 6:11 p.m.
“I'll be doing an update soon where the way to activate the suit will change a bit. So that it doesn't activate every time you prone on the floor with no intention of activating it.
With the next update I will change the animated image with the explanation so that you understand how it will be activated from that moment.“

How it works now:
With the suit equipped, you must go prone on the floor and press Control + S keys (in the default configuration), this will activate an animation, but only if you have a primary weapon or pistol in hand. Hold still for a second or two, you will hear a sound indicating that the suit is scanning the ground surface. Once finished, the camouflage pattern of the suit will have changed to blend in with the surroundings.
This suit makes you less visible to enemies. Lying on the ground and immobile you will be very difficult to detect even for the AIs. Yes, the Octocamo technology works against other players, the AIs and the NPCs.
To switch off the camouflage and return to default suit texture you must do the salute.
It works on the client side (the effects will only be seen by those with the mod loaded).

* The scanner only reads the terrain textures, except for rocks and roads (which are objects in Arma3), it also does not copy the texture of buildings or containers. In all these cases the suit will mimic the surface of the ground below.
* At the moment the suit cannot be activated by AIs or NPCs, it can only be activated by human players.

Under development:
  • The suit's armor has been modified to match the armor of the CSAT Viper suits. DONE!
  • New suit that will allow you to wear a vest, rebreather, helmet, backpack and night vision covered by Octocamo technology. This will significantly expand inventory capacity and skills.
  • New suit without balaclava due to repeated requests.

I am very very interested in applying this affect to armor and equipment worn over the octocamo suit, this would be perfect if our armor could match the camo

please allow saving and using skins for these suits,that would be steller!,i can get some absolutely awesome camo's using this suit,but sadly arent able to save/keep them.TY

Great ! Excited to see how much was fixed, as I myself made so many changes/improvements to the code (which, as @Pyro said, is extremely messy, and rather highly inefficient/ancient) but never tested it.
