Call to Arms: The Ancient World

Description
Welcome to Call to Arms: The Ancient World!

If you like this mod, please rate & favorite!

This mod tries to bring greater variety and more distinction to Imperator Rome.

It adds more levies, more legions and further graphical distinction between legions/levies consisting of mostly heavy unit types and the ones mostly made up by light units.
That way, you can evaluate your own/enemy armies by their appearence on the map. (And it adds flavour.)
It also enhances the ratio at which you actually see the heay variants.

The levy appearences try to represent their "militia" character and clearly distinguish them from the legions, while bearing in mind that militia soldiers weren't necessarily poorly equipped. The greek hoplites as self-equipped citizens are a great example for this.

This mod is an ongoing work in progress, all cultures and important/famous states and tribes will eventually get their unique look with the continuous addition of custom assets

Screenshots are taken with Julianos' Nations Refined activated, Banners and changed nation colors are not part of this mod.

As all (most?) mods, not ironman compatible.
Should work fine with other graphical unit mods, as long as they dont change the mentioned nations.

Upon Update 1.5, this mod now includes and expands upon the great Mods from Mobjay (Celtic Flavour amongst others) - check out his amazing work here:

Compatible with everything else.
Savegame compatible!

Update 1.1: Added the Greek nations from the DLCs (Athens, Cretan States, Sparta, Syracuse)
Update 1.2: Added Levy and Legion Skins for Massalia, People's Choice for conquering Gaul and famous playground of One Proud Bavarian!
Their legion design takes inspiration from a Roman-style adaptation of Celtic armour and weaponry.

Update 1.4: Added Rome, Carthage and Italia (Italic tribes, Samnium, Etruria, Italic-Greek states, Taras)
Update 1.5: Added Celtic skins in three groups (Gallic, Britannic, Pannonic), Germanic Units and Dacians (now as an unique graphical culture group, no more greeks north of the Danube!)
Update 1.6: Italic + Illyrian rework and expansion with more unique skins, plus added Anatolian, Persian, Armenian, Pontic and Judean units
Update 1.7: Added Nubian and Meroitic units, new Greek culture units and Boeotia/Thebes
Update 1.8: Added Western Phoenician, Numidian and Arabian units, plus Cyrenaica and Nabatea

You can make it work for invictus yourself.
Go to the mod folder and simply delete the "common" folder
Everything will work perfectly after that

It would be nice if there was an update to version 2.0.4 of imperator :roman_temple::goldensmile:

@Yuese, have you succeeded in adding it to Invictus yet?

@Yuese Dev looks to be inactive, if I was in your shoes I would upload it with credits to the original creators, and leave it open that you can bring it down on theri request.

So I figured out how to combine the two, and was wondering if it's okay to post it as a submod for Invcitus? All the models are the work of you and your team, so I don't want to publish without permission

Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate your fantastic mod into Imperator: Invictus, however, I'm running into an issue involving graphical culture types. One of their modders, Snowlet, said it's possible they just needed to be added correctly but I've run into a wall with that (it crashes regardless how they're added). He did say it is possible to make a compatch, and that you may know. Your mod really spices up the world, especially the the barbarian factions (the ones unable to work with Invictus) so yeah, any help would be really appreciated!
